Hofstra University’s new online MBA program, launched in 2011 and ranked among the top such programs in the United States, graduated an inaugural class of 14 students this June. The students, their families and their professors celebrated their graduation at a dinner the night before the formal commencement ceremony on May 19. More than two-thirds of the original class of 20 students completed the program in two years, the shortest time possible.
The online program began with a focus on strategic business management and recently added a concentration in strategic health care management. It includes two four-day on-campus residences and a weeklong global practicum. The 48-credit online MBA can be completed in as little as two years, or a maximum of five years.
Hofstra’s online MBA program has earned top rankings. The program was identified as among the top 100 online graduate business programs in the nation in U.S. News & World Report's 2013 Best Online Program rankings - the only New York metro online MBA program to make the list. Poets & Quants also ranks the program 20th in the nation.
