The ICC Institute of World Business Law hosted an advanced-level training on the production of documents in Singapore on 27 June 2017.
There was no school for students on Jan. 10, 2025. Instead, our staff was busy collaborating, planning, and attending professional development workshops. They had the chance to hear Darryl Hunter — adjunct college instructor, company trainer, high school basketball coach, and retired police officer — speak about the role of trauma in students' lives. It was a very informative session that provided teachers with new techniques for identifying and assisting students affected by trauma.
Anne Arundel County educators learned to integrate three different art forms into other academic areas. They rotated throughout the day, spending equal time weaving and stitching with Katherine Dilworth, a Young Audiences fiber artist; learning the elements of dance with Lacey Sheppard, Arts Integration Teacher Specialist; and forming clay vessels with Chesapeake Arts Center artist Cami Ascher.
The 2014-2015 TAI Seminar kicked off with a three-day retreat at the Radisson at Cross Keys in September. More than 40 teachers and artists learned how to integrate the arts into the classroom while aligning with the curriculum. Each artist will work with a teacher partner during the coming months to co-create an arts residency and field-test the program with students.

Educators from our partner museums got together on Monday Jan 24 2011 to learn about teaching Nanotechnogy from each other. Aaron and Keith from NISENet as wall as Inka and Gled from UALR were there as well.
600 educators and teaching artists prepared for another year of Summer Arts for Learning Academy (SALA) at Henderson-Hopkins, and in Arts for Learning fashion, we started with the art! Award-winning spoken word poet Victor Rodgers, also known as Slangston Hughes, shared his work with our summer staff before joining them for professional development sessions. Rodgers will be a teaching artist with SALA this summer!

Our annual Principal Fellowship is a specialized, year-long leadership program designed for public school principals across Maryland. The program equips school leaders with the tools, resources, and collaborative networks needed to use the arts as a lever for school transformation, student engagement, and equity. We kicked off the program with a special dinner with our friends at the Walters Art Museum and a walk through their current exhibit, Douriean Fletcher: Jewelry of the Afrofuture. The principal fellows also visited Summer Arts for Learning Academy (SALA) in Baltimore City to see arts integration in action.
