das Foto entstand bei einem geschäftlichen Tripp nach Paris. Bei einer Konferenz im Tour de Montparnasse gab es in einer Pause die Möglichkeit einige Fotos mit meiner "immer dabei Kamera" zu schiessen (leider war nicht allzu viel Zeit), ich bin also rund um die Etage gelaufen und habe einige Schnappschüsse gemacht.
Im Großen und Ganzen zeigt das Bild Paris mit dem Eiffelturm, im Hintergrund ist la Defence zu sehen.
Aber wie gesagt, das Bild ist leider unter Zeitdruck entstanden.
On top of the mountains, I saw the Apachetas, piles of stones, which are offerings to Pachamama, Mother Nature. Each stone represents a problem that, when taken up the mountain, lies behind. In a pile, there are many problems of different people. Interesting is the analogy of pilasters that serve as a bridge between the sacred and the profane, between two worlds, such as church towers, totems, minarets (travel associative in travel ...).

#2 Profane Guardian {egosumaii} RARE
Im Herbst 2022 wurde die Streckenklasse zwischen Garching und Freilassing aufgrund von Oberbaumängeln herab gesetzt. Dies bedeutete, dass die schweren Loks der Baureihe 247 nicht mehr dort zum Einsatz kommen konnten. Bis zur Behebung der Schäden behalf man sich mit den leichteren Loks der Baureihe 218. Hierfür waren Maschinen aus dem Bh Ulm und von DB Gebrauchtzug angemietet worden. Unter anderem auch die 218 431, die sich schnell zur Stammlok vor dem sogenannten Müllzug entwickelte. Am 27. Oktober 2022 konnte ich den besagten EZK 54087 von Mühldorf nach Freilassing bei Salling fotografieren. Einst wurde dieser kleine Weiler gern von Fotografen aufgesucht, gab es dort doch eine urige und damit fotogene Stahlbrücke über eine Straße, auf der sich Züge gut umsetzen ließen. Vor einiger Zeit wurde die Überführung jedoch durch einen profanen Neubau aus Beton ersetzt.
In autumn 2022, the route class between Garching and Freilassing was downgraded due to permanent way defects. This meant that the heavy class 247 locomotives could no longer be used there. Until the damage was repaired, the lighter class 218 locomotives were used, for which machines were hired from the Ulm depot and from DB Gebrauchtzug. Among them was the 218 431, which quickly became the regular locomotive in front of the so-called waste train. On 27 October 2022, I was able to photograph the aforementioned EZK 54087 from Mühldorf to Freilassing near Salling. Once upon a time, this small hamlet was a popular spot for photographers, as there was a quaint and therefore photogenic steel bridge over a road, on which trains could nicely be photographed. Some time ago, however, the overpass was replaced by a profane new building made of concrete.

Cette chapelle, construite sur un ancien lieu de culte celtique comme en témoignent des “pierres levées” à l’ouest et des “pierres à cupules” au sud, a été dédiée à Saint Vincent, patron des vignerons, car la colline sur laquelle elle se trouve était, autrefois, couverte de vignobles.
Elle est déjà citée comme Paroisse dès le 10e siècle dans la charte 340 du cartulaire de Savigny (Domum vineæ in Dagnino villa).
Paroisse mère jusqu’au 13e siècle, elle devient annexe de la paroisse de Saint-Laurent jusqu’à la Révolution.
En octobre 1364 elle fut profanée et saccagée par les “Tards venus” (c’est à cette époque que le clocher fut incendié, puis reconstruit), avant d’être réconciliée le 31 mars 1365 par le curé de Saint-Genis-Laval, mandaté par l’Archevêque de Lyon.

Philae is mentioned by numerous ancient writers, including Strab Diodorus Siculus, Ptolemy, Seneca, Pliny the Elder. It was, as the plural name indicates, the appellation of two small islands situated in latitude 24° north, just above the First Cataract near Aswan. Groskurd computes the distance between these islands and Aswan at about 100 km (62 mi).
Despite being the smaller island, Philae proper was, from the numerous and picturesque ruins formerly there, the more interesting of the two. Prior to the inundation, it was not more than 380 metres (1,250 ft) long and about 120 metres (390 ft) broad. It is composed of syenite: its sides are steep and on their summits a lofty wall was built encompassing the island.
Since Philae was said to be one of the burying-places of Osiris, it was held in high reverence both by the Egyptians to the north and the Nubians to the south. It was deemed profane for any but priests to dwell there and was accordingly sequestered and denominated "the Unapproachable". It was reported too that neither birds flew over it nor fish approached its shores. These indeed were the traditions of a remote period; since in the time of the Ptolemaic Kingdom, Philae was so much resorted to, partly by pilgrims to the tomb of Osiris, partly by persons on secular errands, that the priests petitioned Ptolemy VIII Physcon (170-117 BC) to prohibit public functionaries at least from coming there and living at their expense.
In the nineteenth century, William John Bankes took the Philae obelisk on which this petition was engraved to England. When its Egyptian hieroglyphs were compared with those of the Rosetta Stone, it threw great light upon the Egyptian consonantal alphabet.
The islands of Philae were not, however, merely sacerdotal abodes; they were the centres of commerce also between Meroë and Memphis. For the rapids of the cataracts were at most seasons impracticable, and the commodities exchanged between Egypt and Nubia were reciprocally landed and re-embarked at Syene and Philae.
The neighbouring granite quarries also attracted a numerous population of miners and stonemasons; and, for the convenience of this traffic, a gallery or road was formed in the rocks along the east bank of the Nile, portions of which are still extant.
Philae also was remarkable for the singular effects of light and shade resulting from its position near the Tropic of Cancer. As the sun approached its northern limit the shadows from the projecting cornices and moldings of the temples sink lower and lower down the plain surfaces of the walls, until, the sun having reached its highest altitude, the vertical walls are overspread with dark shadows, forming a striking contrast with the fierce light which illuminates all surrounding objects.

This fine Edwardian building is listed as an entrance chapel on the maps of Carr Villa Memorial Park in the Launceston suburb of King's Meadow. But in reality it was the keeper's headquarters with an archway through which the horse drawn hearses (1905) were brought after the funeral procession had made its way to the cemetery. It's very much like the old "lych gates" where the transition was made from the profane world to the sacred burial grounds. Today it is used for shelter by visitors waiting to be picked up in the rain.

Emperor Charles VI (1685/1711 – 1740) ordered the construction of this jewel of secular Baroque architecture for his Court Library. The Neubaukirche is a former university church and profaned Renaissance church in Würzburg , which today serves the University of Würzburg as an assembly hall . It is reckoned among the most important Renaissance churches north of the Alps. The construction began in 1583 by master builder Georg Robin was completed with the tower of Antonio Petrini from 1679 to 1703. The tower was rebuilt by Balthasar Neumann and Joseph Greising . After the destruction in the Second World War was carried out between 1970 and 1985, the reconstruction of Neubaukirche.
