Title

Denver, Colorado. Twenty-four hours a day the sparks from acetylene torches of steel workers in eight Denver fabricating plants are flying thick and fast that the U.S. Navy may carry the battle to the enemy in all parts of the world. Here in secluded Denver, the world's largest city not on a navigable waterway, this war production worker, who has never seen a battleship or an ocean, fashions the steel hull parts which are being assembled at Mare Island Navy Yard--1,200 miles from where he and his fellow wokers are on the job to help "keep 'em sailling."

1/6 Scale Full Lego Rebuild

KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS Company Icon / Mascot

From Sapiens to Ludens

We are Homo Ludens (Those who play).

Designed by Yoji Shinkawa, Ludens is the company icon and mascot of Hideo Kojima's Kojima Productions video game company.

"Ludens wears an "extra-vehicular creative activity (ECA) suit", and often carries a flag bearing the Kojima Productions logo – which is based off Ludens themself. Ludens is prominently featured in a video titled "Kojima Productions logo movie", where they trek into the unknown of space and plant the studio flag into uncharted lunar ground."

- deathstranding.fandom.com/wiki/Ludens

Around 50 hours of building time to recreate this 1/6th scale LEGO version of Ludens. Articulated as much as possible and free-standing. Based off the 1/6 collectible by Sentinel & 1000 Toys.

---

Instructions for the Ludens (White Ver.) will be out sometime in late September 2020. Please look forward to it.

For those interested in LEGO mech building, I also have an eBook from 2015 called Mech Wars 2015 Instructional Primer. It contains some things I wrote about basic mech building, a bit about my Mech Warsuniverse, and all my early models from 2014-2015. Framed quite nicely by a tree that has even seen fit to mimic the angle of the power car nose, 43277 'Safety Task Force' passes through Ollerton and adds a burst of sunshine as it makes for the old colliery site.

No doubt the post would have carried a ubiquitous cast iron warning sign of some description in days gone by...I wonder if it graces someone's wall nowadays?

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

W class trams are family of electric trams built by the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board between 1923 and 1956. Over the 33 years of production, 752 vehicles spanning 12 sub-classes were constructed, the majority at the MMTB's Preston Workshops.

A small fleet continue to operate on the tramway network of Melbourne, Australia, where they are used on the City Circle tourist route, the North Richmond to Prahran / St Kilda Beach route (routes 78/79), the St Vincents Plaza to Docklands route (route 30) and the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant service. The W class tram is a cultural icon to Melbourne, those that remain in Melbourne are classified by the National Trust of Australia.

As well as Melbourne, W class trams operate on tourist and heritage systems across the world. A number of older variants have been withdrawn from service and later sent to cities such as Copenhagen, Savannah and Seattle, and private enthusiasts.

Today 38 W class trams are in service on the Melbourne tram network, 12 run on the zero-fare City Circle tourist route, and 26 are used in revenue service. In revenue service they operate on route 30 along La Trobe Street, 78 North Richmond to Prahran and 79 North Richmond to St Kilda Beach. In addition, Yarra Trams has 26 W-class trams stored operational in "ready reserve".

Three W6 class trams have been converted for use on the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant service which operate three meal services daily, the services can operate across the metropolitan system.

As at 2011 a further 175 were in store at Newport Workshops and Preston Workshops.

Forty W7-class trams were built in 1955/56 for operation on new Bourke Street routes (routes 86 and 96). Originally 70 were ordered but the number was cut to 40 following a change of government at the 1955 state election. They were very similar to the preceding W6 class, but with upholstered seats throughout. As of December 2013, 9 remain in service with Yarra Trams with another 4 stored operational in "ready reserve".

InterClassics 2020

Maastricht, the Netherlands.

Production: 1 of 82 (1951-1952)

On February 26, 1952 driver and first Dutch Grand Prix winner Eddie Hertzberger registered his Ferrari 212 Inter, bodied by Ghia, aluminium coupé on license plate PD-88-78, making it the first Ferrari sold in the Netherlands and the first Ferrari that won a race in the Netherlands. Bought at the time for 50.000 Dutch Guilders.

Hertzberger did not order the car with a regular Inter V12 engine, but with an Export engine with three double Weber carburettors.

Eddie Hertzberger not only drove the car in races, such as on the circuit in Zandvoort, but also used it as a daily driver on the road. His collection also included a Bentley Blower, an MG K3 and a Bugatti Type 57.

When Eddie's son Anthony Hertzberger was 4 years old, the beautiful 212 was sold to the US. Years of memories that his son Anthony had of this car and the desire to find it back, motivated Eddie to search it for many years. Toghether with a friend, Hertzberger searched for his beloved 212 with the chassis number 0225 EL, as the car played such a special role in Dutch Ferrari history. In March 2013 Anthony finally managed to return the car back to the hands of the Hertzberger family. Anthony bought this car back and restored it to its full glory.

The car has been restored to the highest level, without saving costs and/or any efforts and even the Dutch license plate of earlier times (PD-88-78) got back as a number plate on this special car.
