Gratitude and Grief in Equal Measure
This is an iPad painting made with iColorama, and Procreate. Native (front) Camera.
Original Abstract Digital Painting with Procreate, Apple Pencil, and iPad Pro.
I’m trying to get looser in my work. Chaos does not come naturally to me. I did a series of three action paintings all in one sitting. I was happy with the first and last, they are presented here As Action Painting #3 and action Painting #5. They were all done in the same Photoshop file so I was also able to combine them as layers in different combinations. One of those is also presented here.
Original painting in ProCreate, then filtered with ???, then hand-painted in ProCreate again to adjust detail, contrast and color.
Used the 300mm to be a little more mobile and agile.
Handheld
San Joaquin Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary.
Digital painting with ProCreate, iPad Pro, and Apple Pencil.
Hard to say if this one is done or not. I like this rendering a lot though.
Apps used: Snapseed, Procreate, Fragment

Happy birthday to Joanne Carter!
It is fitting that this is officially the 1,600th portrait that I have posted to Facebook. Joanne has become a friend, and has been extraordinarily encouraging, inspiring, and kind to me. In a real way, she has helped me do this. Here's to you, Joanne, for all you have done to motivate me, and so many others.
This is an iPad painting, made with a beta version of #iColorama, and #Procreate. I used one of Joanne Carter's images, from when she was presenting in Korea, as a source to make this.
Commissioned pet portraits of two chihuahuas for an oil painting. To see the oil painting go to my blog -
