This session did not go well. I had a new Sony 24-70GM lens and it began to malfunction after about an hour and it would not autofocus correctly and manual focus also had issues. When I returned to my hotel I discovered that the inside of the camera was coated with fine white dust.
On my return to Dublin I had the body and lens cleaned and I never had any further problems with the lens. Fortunately, I always bring a second camera when I travel.
In general, after every visit to Belfast I have found it necessary to have the camera sensor professionally cleaned.
i am back at school, which is an annoyance itself.
but the REAL problem is that the wifi network i am on won't let me log into flickr.
WHAT.THE.F*CK.
so now i am flickr-less... except for random uploads on my iphone.
what can i do???

When it was worked on in Toledo, they had to replace a bolt that acted as a hanger for the generator.... it pivoted from this hanger and an adjustable rod set the tension of the drive belt between the motor and the generator....
We found that the bolt they had replaced had come loose and backed half way out of the hole (ie, the generator half way hanging on, allowing slack in the belt). This is what was causing the strange sounds and vibration. It's amazing the loose belt even had enough tension to drive the generator.
The first of the problems.....Motor going out before we got to the island..... An adventure to say the least!
We went 'round and 'round with KB Home to stop blocking our mailbox during construction. After being assured the contractors would be instructed, I came home to find this. Evidently, Nicor had to put in a feed under my mailbox.
Sanitation was a bit problem in early Seattle and the arrival of the first ship load of "Crappers" was apparently a cause for great excitement.
