A WINNING Scientific Management, com o apoio do Gabinete de Career Services e Alumni do ISCTE-IUL, realizou a primeira edição do PROBLEM SOLVING CHALLENGE. O desafio decorreu no dia 7 de dezembro, entre as 14h00 e as 18h00, no Auditório JJ Laginha no ISCTE-IUL.
De acordo com um estudo do Fórum Económico Mundial* na lista das competências profissionais mais procuradas no mercado de trabalho, a capacidade para ‘Resolver Problemas Complexos” é referida em primeiro lugar.
Esta competição visa possibilitar aos estudantes universitários - finalistas dos cursos de Gestão, Finanças, Economia, Informática, Informática e Gestão de Empresas e outros cursos similares - a oportunidade de obterem formação e experiência em PROBLEM SOLVING, uma competência crucial na aplicação a futuros desafios em entrevistas de emprego e restante vida profissional.

This building at Lincoln Square, once the Boys Trade High School, is in bad condition inside. A newer addition in back has been converted into loft apartments. This part does not lend itself to such housing. Considerable work is required to make it suitable for offices or other similar uses. It has not been in use since the new, state-of-the-art Worcester Vocational Technical High School opened on Skyline Drive near Green Hill Park in 2006.

In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines“). In Europe, Saint Valentine’s Keys are given to lovers “as a romantic symbol and an invitation to unlock the giver’s heart”, as well as to children, in order to ward off epilepsy (called Saint Valentine’s Malady). Valentine’s Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.

Nachdem unsere Weltenbummler sich aufgrund von Problemen mit Wetter und Visum für einen Flug nach Indien entschieden hatten, freuten sie sich umso mehr darauf, in Neu-Delhi wieder auf ihre Expeditionsräder steigen zu können!Laut, chaotisch und viel zu voll. Radtouristen haben oft gehörigen Respekt vor dem Verkehr in Indien. Dabei gehören Zweiräder dort wesentlich selbstverständlicher zum Alltag als bei uns! Ob Rikscha-Taxis, Verkaufsstände oder persönliches Transportmittel – Inder sind an Fahrräder im Straßenverkehr gewöhnt und auch unsere Abenteurer konnten problemlos auf Hauptstraßen oder Autobahnen radeln.
Ganz falsch sind die Vorurteile allerdings nicht. Auf unserem TX-400 fuhren Tine und Tommi vorbei an Dreck und Gestank, ausgetrockneten Flüssen und Tieren, die auf Müllhalden grasten. Trotz den Umständen, die den beiden im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes den Atem verschlagen haben, haben sie sich die Freude am Radfahren nicht nehmen lassen. Als fröhlich grüßende Fahrradtouristen sah Indien gleich viel freundlicher aus! Gutes Essen, eine fürsorgliche Mitbewohnerin im Hostel und ein aufregendes Stadtleben haben die beiden positiv überrascht.

Auf dem Highway reihte sich das TX-400 dann zwischen Ochsenkarren, Reisebussen, Affen und überladenen Lastenrädern ein und Tine und Tommi waren mittendrin im indischen Straßenverkehr!
Unser Expeditionsrad ist somit offiziell chaoserprobt und brachte die beiden sicher durch den Tumult Indiens nach Nepal. Von dort geht die Reise weiter Richtung Pokhara. Wir wünschen den beiden jede Menge schöne Erlebnisse und freuen uns auf den nächsten spannenden Bericht!

Notice the brake-lights? A waste of time and money. By accelerating to get the next bumper up in his grill, this driver spends more than half the time on the road riding the brakes, endangers the health and well-being by tailgating, dumping into the atmosphere excessive brake dust and burnt fuel.
Not to mention that stress shortens one's life. So, why stress yourself and everyone else?

You are not going to be rich...it's not going to happen - and consider the greed of being so to the level the mega-rich are today.
That "top 1%" is almost all family passed down wealth. Vote and act in the best interest of yourself and all the other Americans in the same situation as you, not for the super-rich.
Upwards mobility is a lie to keep the poor voting against their best interests.
LCI hosted an A3 training for the NCR CoP Friday, March 17, 2017. We learned to use A3 as a problem solving tool!
This candy dish has been empty since I posted a photo of it on March 6th. It is now overflowing with Jelly Beans! Problem solved! Now I wonder how long they will last? LOL
12.05.10 - Florida band Fake Problems braved the snow and cold tonight and played a show at the Beat Kitchen with fellow southerners, Ninja Gun.
I caught these guys at a couple dates on Warped Tour this summer and they were amazing. Tonight was no different. They opened up for The Gaslight Anthem on their most recent tour, so that definitely got them some new fans. Fairly packed show. I was impressed.
Also, attention Chicago photogs: if you haven't been to Beat Kitchen in a while, I think you'd be pleased to hear that their lighting has improved greatly. Stage right could use a little more "oomph," but I couldn't be happier otherwise.

La prochaine fois que vous verrez des publicités vantant les mérites écologiques du constructeur allemand, regardez-les avec davantage de circonspection. VW est-il le constructeur le plus vert de la planète ? Non, tant qu'il ne généralisera pas les technologies qui permettraient d'émettre moins de CO2 à l'ensemble de ses modèles et qu'il ne cessera pas son lobbying pour empêcher des normes plus ambitieuses pour la protection du climat.

Timing problem gremlins showed up in the previous run. Tim Wilkerson's LRS Funny Car blazed down the track only to be credited for a paltry time. The track crew sprang into action and began testing and analyzing the entire starting line timing system. This is one of the hubs for the LH lane where the problem presented. All told, it took about an hour to resolve the issue, however, it was not announced as to the problem. Perhaps a slug had crawled across the timing beam :)
