'Rare Skipper' butterfly. Living up to its name, Rare Skipper is very rarely encountered in North Carolina, found only in brackish or freshwater marshes or in this case, lakes and marshes near Northwest Creek and the Neuse River. On a deck handrail at my home in Fairfield Harbour, NC

Left to its own devices. (Combarro - Galicia - Spain).

We repeat the trip to continue along the Galician coast and taste its delicacies with seafood.
The problem is that you must continue the trip because you do not go alone and arrive at the destination set and there you do not have the lights or the weather, but you must try to capture interesting photos.
In the vials that I am not alone, I usually take the Lumix FZ150 with Leica lens because of its light weight.
I took the photo squatting to control with the flexion of my legs, that the boat did not cover the beautiful landscape behind it.
Shot data:
I programmed the Iso to 200 because the sky was covered and if the sun suddenly came out I could play with the speed, because I would shoot with an aperture set at F / 8 to achieve the maximum image quality of the lens.
With a 24 m / m objective and at a speed in this case because the Sun rose, it was 1/320.
Regno Unito, Northumberland, Bamburgh Castle, Inverno 2017
Bamburgh Castle is located on the coast at Bamburgh, Northumberland, England. The location was previously home to a fort of the native Britons
The Normans built a new castle on the site, which forms the core of the present one. In 1464 during the Wars of the Roses, it became the first castle in England to be defeated by artillery. The castle has been used as a film location since the 1920s, featuring in films such as Ivanhoe (1982), El Cid (1961), Mary, Queen of Scots (1971), Elizabeth (1998) and both the 1971 and 2015 adaptions of Macbeth.
There is a famous tale here, the Pink Lady of Bamburgh Castle. She was a Northumbrian princess and she fell in love with a boy, whom her father disapproved of so sent him overseas for seven years.
The girl became more and more downhearted at this separation and in a final attempt to resolve the issue, her father told her that his spies had discovered that the boy had married someone else whilst stationed abroad and that, to cheer her up after this news, the castle seamstress would fashion a dress in the girl’s favourite colour; pink. The girl dressed in her new garment, climbed to the highest part of the castle’s battlements and flung herself down onto the rocks below.
A little while later the boy returned from his station abroad. Unmarried, of course.
Every seven years the process, in her beautiful pink gown is supposed to wander the oldest parts of the castle, before gliding down the rocky path to the beach, where she mournfully gazes out to sea. Awaiting the return of her lost love.

In 2021 I returned to stay in Spain. Despite the fact that the Pandemic seemed to give some respite, I did not really want to gamble it on the ends of the planet.
I did a photography workshop in Asturias and I was really amazed.
Its coastline is truly spectacular, with extraordinary rock formations that with an appropriate light acquire a singular beauty.
The grace of finding these corners is to control the sunsets and sunrises with the level of the tides to be able to get to take the photo and not have problems with the water level.
We did the workshop with Pablo Ruiz Garcia, a great professional and a better person.

Trípode: No
Photo story:
The group decided to photograph Tarragona (capital) on a rainy day, to get some different photos than usual.
We had to improvise so that our cameras wouldn't get wet and hold the umbrella in a homemade way so we could use both hands for the camera.
The problem wasn't the rain, but the wind that moved the umbrella and got us and the equipment wet. What I did learn is that to photograph on a rainy day, you need to bring a "Caddy" like in golf.
It was very curious to see the famous Rambla of Tarragona without people, it was a pleasure, but we didn't have anyone to photograph!
I edited it in black and white, to better dramatize the photo and give it a greater visual impact. I hope you like it, friends. Antoni Gallart
