The weather at Milford Sound is unpredictable at times. The regions rainfall is one of the country's highest, a phenomenal 6,240mm. The fiord can be a memorable spectacle whatever the weather.

Probably the most special and rarest catch at Schiphol Airport last year was this Private Boeing 727-100 Super 27 of Peter Nygård which stood here at East for a couple of days before going to Germany.
