I'm really not sure what they were actually up to, since they started this kinda action only after bashing their heads frantically for several minutes. Could have been the mountain air...

Vision-based apps pose privacy risks. Emerging new applications use face images to offer new services and there is a tension between new, personalized services and privacy risks.
The goal of Privacy Masks is to enable new vision-based applications that preserve privacy. To meet this aim, Mirov Enev and his team are developing Privacy Masks, a set of image features that reduce the exposure of privacy sensitive attributes.

A picture I took based on the song "Nine In The Afternoon". I basically pushed the curves on this until it began to look a bit psychedelic.
"Back to the place, back to the room where it all began."
Nowadays, we continually share data: a message via WhatsApp, a picture on Instagram, an update on Facebook or an e-mail through Gmail. With whom do we really share this data? And how can we make sure that our personal data stay strictly personal?
This exhibition addresses issues of online privacy and digital surveillance. Next to several historical examples of encrypting, ‘Design my Privacy’ also shows some surprising contemporary strategies by more than 35 young designers and artists to maintain control over our data.

With the fast moving world, we are forgetting the difference between personal and professional lives. The lines between the two are blurring gradually. The major reason of this is that we spend a majority of our time in offices, i.e., approx 9 hours every day. That is a lot of time to not indulge in some personal things while sitting at our desks. It becomes all the more difficult to not open your social accounts in office if your work is not that interesting.
We are merging our office and homes. While we surf Facebook in the office, we do take the pending work to finish at our home. We fail to separate the two. People also become good friends with their colleagues and go out for beer and pizza after the office hours together. Many people do socialize with their co-workers. But doing this is just the trouble around to happen. What if we told you that your employer can go through every email you send out and receive. It will make you feel uneasy right. So you should be taking some precautions to protect your privacy while you are at your workplace. Read More: askopinion.com/how-to-protect-your-privacy-at-work
This is based after the topic I did for MP1, Frances Cairncross's future predictions, so I chose two of those trends and modified them slightly to fit into this format.
My first trend/topic is privacy; with the rise of the Internet, and technology always being improved, it is clear that people's lives will always be changing and privacy will be impacted.

When I first saw these tiny moths, I thought they were a dark-colored buffalo treehopper.
Found in a field near Mohawk Park in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Id help appreciated. My best guess is Sedge Moth (Glyphipteriginae).

This little gem is hidden away in the "My Account" section of the "settings" page. Long story short, by default Facebook can use your information in its ads.
Mouseover the notes on the middle-right of this screenshot. Now that's just creepy -- Facebook Fans + Mugshot sidebar widget on PBS that has two of our friends and colleagues.
Is that random or is there a cookie tracking and placing them there to get our attention so we too become a fan. Did Brian and Kristina know their faces are on PBS.org?
Probably not.
This wide-ranging monetization of our content, ourselves, is something we're thinking about more and more and getting genuinely concerned. While PBS is a nonprofit, Facebook must certainly is not and that widget is there to draw traffic to their ads.
