DANES Planning is a small consulting firm that was formed in 2002 and provides full service healthcare planning to its clients.
The challenge was to make this relatively small company come across as a major player in the market through the effective combination of color and symbol. The Danes "Bug" was developed through typographic studies of the root words that make up the company moniker those being Daniel and Esther from the old testament.

A curious little mouse holds a precious prize - a delicate pink rose, its fragile stem cradled in its tiny paws. Watercolor washes bring the scene to life, capturing the soft fur of the mouse and the vibrant hues of the flower. Gentle brushstrokes create a sense of texture and depth, while the muted green background allows the mouse and rose to shine. A charming piece that celebrates the small wonders of nature.

Thao is such a multi-instrumentalist so the Swiss army reference seemed fitting. I also liked how the Swiss cross nicely doubles as the ampersand in the band name.
This was originally designed to print in 3 colors, but in the end, we felt there would be a bit more control in the faux overprinting with a CMYK run.

Continuing the "music lessons icon" project. Here is the guitar. A fender american deluxe telecaster to be exact.
The client, who is to begin teaching music lessons, wanted the representation for each instrument they'll be teaching to look like an iOS icon.
Still have Bass, Voice, and Song Writing to do. Let me know what you guys think and give me any criticism. This is my first time doing this style of icon design.
