Best Princess is my largest and most complex pony model to date. The wavy alicorn hair took a lot of time and Lego geometry voodoo to accomplish, but I'm very happy with how it came out! And all of these parts should exist in real life, so I'm planning on ordering the parts to build Luna IRL soon.

Princess likes to wear lace to sleep... and cuddle her favorite bear, Alistair.

Princess is my Fairyland Littlefee Ante, default face-up.The beautiful nightgown was made by Spampy, and her lovely bonnet made by Jenifer's mother, julienne. The tiny bear is my beloved Alistair, made by Esther Pepper.

My 1st attempt at a Barbie/Princess cake for a 5 year old girl

I had seen these growing near the water's edge in various places over the last few years, but couldn't find a site that would let me get close enough to take pics. Finally I found one -- and if it were any closer it would have bitten me. It's growing as an urban weed tree on the limestone embankment of the Northeast Corridor train station platform in New Brunswick. I disembark at that platform on my way home from work 5 days a week -- but I usually sit at the back of the train and exit the platform via the rear stairs. The tree is just a couple of cars further forward, growing up alongside the platform railing.

This is an exotic from China, highly invasive in the US Southeast. Seems to be fairly common but scattered and limited to wet spots here in the Northeast, but that's just my own casual observation. It's certainly on everybody's list of plants we don't want here. Lots of info at www.invasive.org/search/results.cfm?cx=004971884014326696....

No need for a moat with bright polka dots surrounding this castle and its pretty princess!

Nell's precious pet pot-belly pig; she's my barnyard nemesis. Years ago, when she was lighter on her feet, she managed catch me unawares and got her mouth around my ankle (by turning her head sideways – who knew pigs have necks?) and chomped down. I'm sure she was jealous of Kanella paying attention to me instead of to her magnificent self.

She usually chases me (well, more a 'follow' than chase) around the barnyard, looking for another chance munch my leg, but this Sunday she didn't even raise her back hair at me – perhaps she was too busy posing for the camera!

I've always had a fascination with charm bracelets. I love them. My grandmother has one, and she always jingles as she goes. It's a very sweet sound.

This one is made of brass fishing swivels connected with double jump rings, and contains 24 vintage and new brass and gold plated charms, including a small locket.

The bracelet measures 8 inches in length, and closes with an antiqued brass claw clasp. And it jingles when you walk.
