The San Jose Fantasy Faire is the perfect start to spring. Held in the first week of April, near downtown San Jose, the weather is usually perfect. Great time to dress up and have fun. Cross genre, come as your favorite thing: Ren Faire? Check. Pirate? Heck yeah! Fairy Tale? Sci Fi? Anime? Bring it! Such an awesome idea, you’d think it’d started decades ago.

These are rough sketches for the updated version of my Princess clipart font. They are scanned in and cleaned up in illustrator and made to look like brushed illustrations. It's interesting to look at how the very first version of this clipart font (grrlz stuff) was drawn, the second (Princess) and how I think my drawing skills have improved with the third update. Well, my rough sketches have improved and the way I finish them in illustrator is a lot more free and brushy looking.
You'll see later that a lot of these ideas didn't make into the clipart font.
HRH The Princess Royal visits Paisley.
Today seen HRH The Princess Royal pay a visit to Paisley and the nine day celebration of Gaelic music, dance, drama, arts and literature. The Royal National Mod runs from 11th – 19th October 2013 and is to attract thousands of spectators from across the central belt as it visits the Renfrewshire city for the first time in its 121 year history.
Amongst the venues visited by HRH The Princess Royal were Paisley Abbey and also Paisley Town Hall helping raise Paisleys profile nationally.
