These are rough sketches for the updated version of my Princess clipart font. They are scanned in and cleaned up in illustrator and made to look like brushed illustrations. It's interesting to look at how the very first version of this clipart font (grrlz stuff) was drawn, the second (Princess) and how I think my drawing skills have improved with the third update. Well, my rough sketches have improved and the way I finish them in illustrator is a lot more free and brushy looking.
You'll see later that a lot of these ideas didn't make into the clipart font.
I'm working on a series of tiaras and crowns made from wire, chenille stems, odds&ends and various vintage junk.
This one is crammed with every bubblegum pink and glitzy vintage thing I had on hand - pink bias binding, daisy trim, an old ballerina cake topper, some plastic roses, a Christmas tree light reflector, a rhinestone button... I'm considering this to be a work in progress because I feel like it might need a backing behind the wire mesh and I haven't worked that out yet.

Here’s my Princess of the Korean Court on a Sweet Tea barbie body.
After straightening her hair I’m really happy with her cuz I always wanted a goddess sculpt with Asian screening.
A detail shot of the Coral Princess stack area. She has the same "jet engine" decorations as the Sapphire Princess. This ship had just arrived from a trip through the Panama Canal, and was staying in San Pedro for some maintenance. The passengers who wanted to continue up to Vancouver, had to join us on the Sapphire Princess.
