I also made the tulle petticoat, but it doesn't seem to give it as much 'boofiness' as I expected.
She picked the pattern and the fabric. It's not the taffetta as prescribed by the pattern, but a heavy cotton lace (from stash), paired with a stretch cotton poplin (the only fabric we could find to perfectly match the lace in colour).
The lace sections are interlined to prevent the seams from showing through. The bodice sections are lined with a very lightweight cotton.
I was setting up an entirely different shot and the Princess Samantha was "helping." I looked up and... well, the other photo can wait.
