Deagostini Disney Doll Aurora

I bought her off ebay, i've been desperate to get ahold of Aurora for a long time ever since i got Snow White and Ariel when they first came out. But i waited until she came with her original magazine. The doll herself is mixed results while the magazine was pretty pathetic as it turned out. The doll has awful nylon hair, and is glued into place along her hair line, and gelled into 3 curls at the back. Her dress is a poly satin sleeve, collar and peplum, with cotton bodice and skirt. The skirt is pleated which is nice as this is very rare on aurora dolls. Her face dosn't look that much like Aurora, and her tiara looks nothing like the movie version. She came with painted on shoes and a nylon lace petticoat.

 

 

The magazine had a condensed princess-magazine style of the sleeping beauty story, with a page showing the proto aurora (surprisingly exactly the same as the production) with little notes of information. I swear my original ariel magazine include info on how the made the doll, wheras aurora came with notes like "aurora's animal friends enjoy darting in and out of her hair.... but now shes in the castle, she likes to let it loose".
