We had a great time primping with Lauren and helping her into that dress. It was a multi-person job.

This is what the guys' room looks like while we're getting ready for a wedding. I'm sure the girls are walking around in their panties and crying about how beautiful the bride is. Not guys, nope we watch the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Tryouts.
This photo was taken after Sarie was primped and ready to go off to the Community Day in Del Ray. It is a subdivision of Alexandria VA. They are going to have a dog show as a fundraiser for the Alexandria Welfare League. Sarie won the costume contest for the League's St. Patrick's Day dog show, so we are going back for another ribbon hopefully! If not, we will still have a great time....

Focus month for October is illustration, specifically the short stories I wrote during January and more specifically in the black and white style of the pulp mags and paperbacks I have from the 1970s and 80s.
Right now I'm working on illustrating Primp. This will be a half page illustration that would go along with text.

1. meu nome é Lúcia.
2. Supra lux é um autoapelido que veio das aulas de latim na faculdade. Significa "luz de cima". Lux é radical do meu nome, Lúcia.
3. nascida aos 03/06/1981, geminiana com ascendente em peixes. isso sou eu!
4. tenho 1,73 de altura, 54 kg. mas acho que seria mais feliz com 10 cm a menos e o mesmo peso melhor distribuído.
5. formada em letras (português), atualmente trabalho em livraria.
6. adoro pimentão e não como frutos do mar.

12. verde é minha cor favorita. quanto mais escuro e vívido, melhor.
13. o último livro que li e gostei foi "a insustentável leveza do ser", de milan kundera.
14. moro na mesma casa desde que nasci, com meus pais e minha irmã. aqui já viveram também meus avós, mas já se foram.
15. já segui estilo street, clubber, punk, gótico, hoje me defino como mulambentinha: visto o que der na telha.
16. não me considero plenamente feliz, aos 27 anos ainda sou completamente perdida na vida, sem ideais, sem perspectivas. mas não desisto, um dia eu chego lá!

Time to introduce yall to another of my birdies.
This is Evangeline, she is a bearded easter egger who lays blue eggs. Evangeline is the "beautician" of the flock. She is always rushing over to the other girls to help straighten out the feathers, if one is out of place, or remove a speck of breakfast off of their face if they were to eat a bit messily. She is always striving for perfection of the whole flock's look. She wants everyone (herself included) to look their best at all times.
In addition to this primping and preening, she is always talking to herself. She likes to mutter to herself as she lays eggs, eats her dinner, preens herself... she is always talking to herself. The frequency makes her boops and clucks almost sound like morse code.
