Darek & I went to the Prime Timers of the Desert mixer at The Roost Lounge in Cathedral City this evening. We went up Highway 111 to The Atrium where some of Karen & Tony Barone's cast aluminium dog statues. You can see their work all around the valley...and I'm guessing the world.
We stopped at the end of Sunrise Avenue to take photos of the sunset, and a few other things.
Many people believe that graffiti attracts crime. I believe that really good graffiti eases the souls of all who live in the community. It's creative, decorative, up-lifting, and inspirational (for me, at least!)

First used in Normandy, this prime mover used the obsolete Crusader Tank's chassis with a changed upper structure.

Our family restaurant, Backwoods Inn in Santa Clarita, CA, has been serving up delicious Prime Rib and Char broiled steaks since 1968. A customer favorite and one of our most ordered menu items, we serve Prime Rib every night of the week unlike most restaurants who only serve it on Friday and Saturday nights...if it's even on their menu. And our homemade stuffed baked potato is a must when dining. Oh so good, we're famous for them.

Autobot leader and iconic big red truck. I wanted to make him more athletic looking than usual, and get as much height as I could out of the truck mode, which necessitated an atypical take on the legs. I do like how he eventually turned out!

The left building is the former Riggs National Bank located at 1503-1505 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in downtown Washington, D.C. Construction of the Classical Revival building was completed in 1902 to the designs of architectural firm York and Sawyer. The building served as a branch for PNC Bank following the dissolution of Riggs Bank in 2005. PNC is currently trying to sell the property. On the right is the American Security and Trust Company Building located at 1501 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Construction of the neoclassical building was completed in 1905 also to the designs of York and Sawyer. The property currently serves as a branch for Bank of America. Each building (the two properties are sometimes mistakenly thought to be a single building) was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1973. In addition, the buildings are designated contributing properties to the Lafayette Square Historic District, a National Historic Landmark added to the NRHP in 1970, and the Fifteenth Street Financial Historic District, listed on the NRHP in 2006.
