Rootstein's Mercy is finished, ready to be sent to David once she dries. Poor Tyra had to have her face resanded because I didn't do such a good job around her nose area the first time. She just got reprimed. And since I had to reopen the can of primer, I decided to sand and prime Patina V Kris as well. My hope is to send all three busts to get makeovers by next weekend....

We saw a weird building and also what seemed to be a kite surfers lost kite.
We were not going to investigate these things.
I had learnt my leason.
We saw a wreck, way out in the seaweed. Walking to it was easy. It took us about 30 minutes to walk there. After we had looked it over, we descided instead of walking back at an angle to the beach (Which is how we got there) we walked straight in.
After 5 minutes, I started sinking in smelly grey mud up to my knees. It took all my strength to pull out one leg, only to get my other one stuck. All this whilst the tide was coming in. I was balancing my shoes in one hand, my expensive Canon 5D and 70-200 L Lens in the other. I did not want to drop anything.
The distance was about 1/5 the distance we had walked to get out to the wreck but it took over 2 hours to get back to the shore line.
I was very tired. The walk back, sinking (in the end I sank up to my Hips) was exhausting so we left the object that looked like a kite and I descided I was never coming back here again.
Anyway, I had photos so if I wanted to come back, I just needed to look at the photos.
The wreck, I think it is a Holden VB Commodore and a second car (Isuzu) that came out to rescue it. Both have very much been claimed by the sea.

A spectator at Redbrook looks on as hosts Rochdale lose a wicket, bowled, during a dramatic tie with Lancashire League rivals Burnley. Going into this penultimate round of fixtures, both teams were aiming for a top-12 finish, and a First Division place in 2019, when the 24-club Lancashire League splits into two tiers. The nine points secured from this tie clinched Burnley's place (ninth, 158pts), but Rochdale (12th, 143pts) now sweat on their final game, on September 9 at home to Nelson (joint-10th, with Crompton, 150pts), another team not assured of making the top 12. Todmorden (13th, 142pts) are also in the running.
Both Rochdale and Burnley found run-scoring difficult on a lush, slow outfield and on a wicket offering unpredictable bounce. Dale, 94-6 at one stage, did well to reach 145. Skipper Michael Harling (46) led by example, with Ben Chapman (29) providing most support. Burnley encountered similar difficulties at the crease, and slumped to 43-4. Chris Burton (43) and substitute professional Owais Shah (27), the veteran former England player, added a patient 47 for the fifth wicket. Chapman (3-41) removed both. When Burton and Shah departed, Rochdale sensed victory, but the visitors tied the scores with two balls remaining. Oli Makin (2-46) bowled Steve Brunt (12) then brought the house down by running out Cole Hayman (0) as the Burnley batter attempted to scamper what would have been the decisive single.

Peter Burton was baptised on 3 January 1782 and died on 25 March 1819. On 2 June 1805 he was married at All Saints' Church, Youlgreave, to Elizabeth Prime who was baptised in St. John's Church on 9 September 1786. She died in August 1867.
The couple had 5 children of whom Peter was baptised on 6 October 1809 and died on 10 July 1819.

Full-blown movie Transformers repaint... protoform verion of Optimus Prime. Several layers of metallics here - first a metallic black base, then layered drybrushes of Oily Steel, Silver, and a custom mixed metallic light blue. Then accent colors were added in. All screw holes were filled in and sculpted to keep the figure one solid piece with no distractions.
