There were many brave entrants in the Manchester 10K - this must be one of the bravest!

Looking through the window of a closed thrift shop on Pensacola's west side, near the corner of Navy Blvd. and Barrancas Ave. / Gulf Beach Highway. One of the little alternative shops on the curve, next door to Years AGo-Go. Looks like raw material for the main female character in the 80s movie "Pretty In Pink" to refashion a prom dress out of. Or a hallowe'en costume for a fairy godmother. Just look at those hot pink spaghetti straps. I swear I think I saw a guy in this, carrying a beer and walking down the middle of the street with his buddies one night in Copenhagen. Or was it New Orleans? At any rate, that would explain the wrinkles.

cilvee sent us lovely modern meadow in the pink shades to create the stars of our choice. I wanted to make a special star for her because she's so sweet. ;) So a spinning star was made! Plus a little wonky star block for the quilt.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, my dear Flickr friends! I would be very happy If somebody can ID this lovely pink bloom. Thank you. :0

I had to move the orchid so she could smell it. Then she wanted to sit where the orchid had been sitting :)

He certainly has the figure for it! I hope he raised a lot for charity!

"I probably don't even need to tell you that my daughter was given the award for "Best Dress" at her Senior Prom. Her great taste and Rissy Roo's amazing selection made this possible. It was surreal to see her walking towards the crowd during Grand March and hear nearly every single attendee gasp in amazement of this beautiful dress. This is the second absolutely breathtaking dress we've ordered from Rissy Roo's and we'll be back!

Thanks a million!

You knew it had to be one of June, didn't you? ;-)

We went out to eat tonight with Junebug and her Mom and Dad. We went to a Chinese restaurant and while waiting for the guys to pay the bill, we girls drifted out to the lobby.

June spied these chairs and made a beeline for them. She climbed up all by herself and just sat quietly. One of the rare times I've seen her still. I love her look - she looks lost in thought. ;-)

Pink gel balls are tinted pink and used in the glass cube container to add interest to the arrangement. They add light to the arrangement.

At the corner of St. Nicholas Ave. (aka: Avenida Juan Pablo Duarte), along came this sensationally grown-up litte Dominicana, dressed to the nines in pink & blue. She was accompanied a woman, whom I later found out was her aunt, who'd stopped to get something to eat at a food truck. This was the first of four photos; the last is posted

here. The girl and I quickly made friends; she began to play, inventing a game where she allowed a paper subway/bus transfer, placed on her hand, to be blown away by the breeze. Then she took to hiding it and asking me where it was...

A hanging basket of pink. Mini Petunias.

This little girl was so amazing! Usually, I don't post two photos on the same subject... In the first photo, she seemed so grown-up, here, she is the total child, immersed in fantasy and play, totally unself-conscious. In the middle of the guessing game she was playing with me, she stopped to "feel" and/or "interpret" the breeze, or some other flight of fancy, by making a sudden, twisting, dance-like movement!

While not nearly as intense this season, this "Pink" specimen is possibly the most beautiful example of a Burnt Orchid that we've ever seen. With special thanks to our local friend for the heads up about this amazing, Pretty in Pink, Burnt Orchid

My photogenic friend Silvana came around with her equally photogenic baby niece for a photo session. Fun was had by all. I could use it, too.
