Taken with a 1950s Kodak Retina iic at the end of Feb 2019. Some of the results were far from great but this was all about learning how the little fella handled itself, without a hood, into the sun etc. Pretty sure I was using a budget fil as well (FujiC200). Every day is a school day :-)
Pretty Beach is a south-eastern suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia on the Bouddi Peninsula. It is part of the City of Gosford local government area.
The beach itself does not face the sea directly but is part of Brisbane Water, making it a safe place for both children and the mooring of boats. Approximately 200 people live in the immediate area. Pretty Beach is surrounded by the Bouddi National Park. The main institution in the area is the Pretty Beach Public school, established in 1928, which services the greater Bouddi Peninsula community.

This little, almost perfect, colorful mushroom cap caught my eye, standing out from the mosses and rotting log. I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms so badly - always find it difficult to acccept that the wonderful days of spring and summer and endless photo opportunities are over. This past week, I have found it really hard to get moving and, in fact, have barely moved from my computer, which has left me in a lot of pain. I missed a few walks so that I could try and get some extra hours of desperately-needed sleep, which was good, but I need to also keep my joints mobile. However, today, I spent the morning walking around Inglewood Bird Sanctuary - always love to see the two (far away) Harlequin Ducks on the Bow River there : ) Afterwards, I spent part of the afternoon at the Zoo, which is just a few minutes from IBS. Then, I drove a few of the gravel roads south of the city - you should see my car after driving in muddy, gravelly ruts, LOL! Some really nice clouds, but I don't think I captured any good shots of them. The morning was overcast and poor light, but the sun did come out for a bit, while I was at the Zoo. Thought I'd better try and get a few different photos into my files, ready for when the "real" snow and bitterly cold temperatures arrive, LOL.
The old faithful Philips HDD recorder finally gave up the ghost after eight years of almost daily use.
A new Magnavox arrived today. So far it looks pretty good.

Tussi in her garden, late one evening in May 2009. Rather high ISO (720) and a little noisy due to that, but I like her look, the background and the light.
I sat there in the middle of white field, building my little handy snowman. Then from out of nowhere this little buddy came by and silently jumped around where I was. I just couldn't resist such a sweet chubby tiny robin that I dropped my snowman immediately to reach for the camera. And 'Snap!', he was still there, remaining fearless of my bothersome movements and keeping lingering around. And guess what, he was only 15 inches away from me, for like a while, a long while <3
