Tasmanian Government Railways English Electric Y class Y6 is stabled at the Don River Railway Station preserved in the Tasmanian Government Railways livery on 9-11-1996. Y6 never received the AN Tasrail green livery.
Y6 entered service on 18-8-1970 built in Launceston and went to Don River Railway on lease in June 1994 and later sold to them. It was restored to service on 16-8-1995.
The light was too harsh to shoot a streetscape or landscape, but just fine to capture this aging beauty

...you slice each lemon criss-cross, almost all the way through, then push them into a canning jar, spread them open with your fingers and pour a tablespoon or two of kosher salt on top. Then repeat, pressing each lemon down to help release the juice. Once you'e reached the top of the jar, juice another lemon to bring the liquid all the way to the jar rim.
Then you screw the lid on tightly, and place the jar in a corner of your kitchen somewhere out of direct light. What you are doing is changing the composition and taste of the lemon rinds.
Turn the jar back and forth once a day. After three weeks or so, the liquid will become increasingly cloudy, indicating that the salt has done its work. Now you can put the jar in the refrigerator, where the lemons will keep for months.
The rinds become soft, and take on a strong and delicious lemon-salt flavor. I like to chop up the rind from a quarter or half a lemon into soups, stews, salads, just about anything. My giant canning jar holds 20 lemons, enough for maybe eight or nine months of cooking...

A Columbia black-tailed doe typically has one to two fawns per year.
The three fawns with this doe are a mystery. Is one adopted? Is there another doe hiding nearby?
I never found out, so however you answer these questions, your answer is as good as any I could provide.
The doe with fawns was captured in a field of wildflowers at Tom McCall Nature Preserve on an early July morning moving out of woods surrounding a year round pond.
Notice how the fawns' spots rhyme the flower pattern.

Here is an image I always liked, of an autumn path just starting up into the woods, at a very fine Nature Preserve here in Cincinnati, which is, strangely, called "California Nature Preserve".
You see the original below, and I do love the original. But I wanted to try editing it, for fun, and this is what I came up with, after playing with Topaz Adjust, levels, and framing.
Got the first 16 sq ft painted today!
Managed to comment on your photos!
But no camera time. Sigh.

Barr Hammock Preserve
Encompassing more than 5,700 acres, Barr Hammock Preserve includes an expansive wetland area, the Levy Prairie, that is the centerpiece of the Levy Loop Trail. Literally. Entirely atop a set of levees, the Levy Loop Trail rings the broad expanse of this wet prairie west of Micanopy. The bird life here is amazing. Well worth a visit, on foot or bike.

From events at the Museum of Transport yesterday (as per previous photostream uploads) back to those of over twenty years previously.
A pre-restoration appearance of GMT 5208, taken, as I recall, shortly after acquisition for preservation.
It would be just over thirteen years before she would be revealed to the public in all her restored glory, such is the way of the world with projects such as this, of course. And, my, wasn't it worth waiting for?

279 of 365 - Our Daily Challenge - "Rock, paper, scissors":
Well...no rock, but definitely paper and scissors. Scrapbook supplies...too many choices on scissors and papers, which could be why I'm more than 20 years behind. lol. I'm not exactly lovin' this, but it's a long teaching day and I'm frustrated over PSE8. I've had to uninstall and reload 3 times since Saturday as it keeps crashing. I think I'm gonna have to break down and download the trial version of CS5. Hate the thought of learning a new system, but am tired of how unreliable the current system is. Arg!
