Você vai ter que encontrar
Aonde nasce a fonte do ser
E perceber meu coração
Bater mais forte só por você
O mundo lá sempre a rodar

Tonight I present a stream of consciousness exercise in linking three unrelated photos. Just for fun. To begin with, let's assume this bunny knows there is a cat in the neighborhood, which is why the bunny is running away.
Enter the cat. Perhaps thinking of bunny stew, and licking its chops at the thought. Unless the cat, seeing me there with my camera, is thinking about photographer stew.
The bird fits in because it is a CATbird, a natural segue. (If you're not sure how to pronounce "segue," here's a link:
dictionary.reference.com/browse/segue
The Catbird gets its name because it sounds like a cat mewing, but actually this bird makes a lot of other delightful sounds. Have a listen here:
www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Gray_Catbird/sounds
The other interesting characteristic of the Gray Catbird is the patch of rusty red feathers under its tail (the undertail coverts, as they say in the birding world). And perhaps this can link us back to the beginning, because we get to see the rear ends of both the rabbit and the bird. And that's the end of this tale, as well. Hope you've enjoyed it, and the photos too.

Venus and the Three Graces Presenting Gifts to a Young Woman, also known as Giovanna degli Albizzi Receiving a Gift of Flowers from Venus, is a fresco painting by the Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli of circa 1483–1486. The painting and its companion piece, A Young Man Being Introduced to the Seven Liberal Arts, originally decorated the walls of Villa Lemmi, a country villa near Florence owned by Giovanni Tornabuoni, uncle of Lorenzo de' Medici and head of the Roman branch of the Medici Bank. They were probably commissioned for the wedding in 1486 of Giovanni's son Lorenzo to Giovanna of the Albizzi family, and are therefore thought to depict the two.
Venus and the Three Graces Presenting Gifts to a Young Woman shows a young woman, probably Giovanna Tornabuoni, being received by Venus and the three Graces. Giovanna holds open a white cloth, into which Venus is laying roses symbolizing beauty and love.
Both paintings were discovered at Villa Lemmi in 1873 under a coat of whitewash and removed from the wall and transferred to a canvas support. They are now in the Musée du Louvre, Paris.
The gatekeepers cottage Arding NSW
This quaint little cottage is a relic from a way of life that has long been forgotten. Located on the Barleyfields Road railway crossing at Arding on the New England Tablelands, it was once home to the crossing's gatekeeper and his family. The gatekeeper was responsible for the operation of the crossing's timber gates. Whenever a train was scheduled to pass through the crossing, he would close the gates across the road, stopping all traffic.
Luck was with me with a train passing while I was there.
Area boatnerds were treated to an early Christmas present this past Sunday when the Wilfred Sykes made a rare trip down the St. Clair River for Detroit. Here, she passes some holiday decor along the boardwalk in St. Clair, MI.

Maisie was given to me by my friend Pat. She has had many adventures for Flickr but today she's staying quietly at home and taking part in International Cat Day.
Robby is holding his new Puppy Cooper Smith. Cooper is a Cocker Spaniel and has a great personality. I am sure you will see more photos of him as he adjusts to his new family. Campbell, Charley and Cali are in the process of trying to figure out if they are all that happy about this new addition. I will let you know what they decide.

Happy Caturday & happy Easter!
A rather flippant interpretation of 7DOS "shoot anything" - but it's a Hotel Chocolat bag. Chocolate is bad for pets & she never gets to eat any - but Daisy is always hopeful!

Lots of photos were taken here on this three day trip as the blast furnace in the background is due to close later in the month, and at times the conditions and lighting were ideal.
How times change - at its peak in 1970, the UK produced 28.3m tonnes of steel, the fifth largest producer in the world, and employed more than 320,000 people. Decline has been precipitous. Last year, the UK produced 5.6m tonnes, 26th in the world, and employed about 33,500 people.
In 2025 no virgin steel from iron ore will be made in the UK.
From October 2024 Port Talbot will finish steel imported from Tata plants in India, an electric arc furnace using scrap should start production in 2027.
For now, around 1,000 jobs remain from a workforce that used to number 18,000.
