ca 1975- Prep librarian whose career spanned four decades, Arthur Klimowicz. In recognition of a career that ran from 1947 to 1989, the current Media Center at the West Orange campus bears his name. Art sent 5 sons to the Prep.
1974- A Prep Language Department Cultural Festival, held in the Duffy Hall cafeteria, featured musical performances not normally found as part of a Prep student's repertoire. Peeking in at the left are Prep Librarian Art Klimowicz (who probably played the violin that afternoon) and art teacher Ed Havas.
ca. 1990- Future Prep Hall of Famer Ira Bowman snatches a rebound against Essex Catholic— one of the last times The Prep would play the Eagles; the former Newark powerhouse had moved from Newark to East Orange in 1980, merged with Archbishop Walsh HS and eventually closed for good in 2003. 1937- Three Prep fencers pose for the Tower photo behind Presidents Hall. During that era SHU and Prep fencing teams were led by former All American and future Olympic medal-winning fencer Dean Cetrulo.

At least when it comes to snuff and coffee...
For me, prep is important. I like to buy in bulk (Costco!!!) and I do a day or two of washing and prepping, dividing, so that lunch making is simple.
