I actually prefer the livery design of the #4 versus the all yellow #3 and considering the 4 has Nick Tandy now, if I had to wish for a 'vette' to do well, it's this car.
Made sure to also give the old 7D a good workout while testing the EOS-R. I will say that the image quality I was able to get from this was almost identical to shooting in Crop Mode on the EOS-R5.
I know the 7D mkII has a few more pixels (20 vs 17) but it does not have the low-pass AA filter of the R5.
I'll continue to review and revisit and compare but as I stated in the previously posted images of the EOS-R from the same event, quality glass is what is making the difference.

Prefer to trade as a set, together with the other two kings (ATC481 and ATC486). Traded to ATheeC.

sometimes we prefer darkness rather than a light. they make us feel comfortable often. I admit I can't exist without both. so this thought will be a good restart for me.
this image is dedicated to my friend Crady (told me many wonderful movies) and Sakai(my nice friend and good model).
Between Al Merjeh and Souq Sarojja, there is an open space where a big mural/fabric billboard was put up. I guess the message of the billboard is apparently about 'peace'.
As most of the family having their picnic along the highways green areas, parks and gardens, it seems that the guys prefer to relax at these kind of places.

Was not sure which image I preferred.. so uploaded both.. This one is at max zoom.. 105mm.. the other at 58mm..

'Dartmouth Castle is one of a pair of forts, the other being Kingswear Castle, that guard the mouth of the Dart Estuary in Devon, England (grid reference SX885503).
A small fortalice (coastal fort) was built in 1388 under the direction of John Hawley (rumoured to be the basis for the Shipman in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales).[1] The present Guntower building is the earliest surviving English coastal fortress specifically built to carry guns. It was built by the corporation of Dartmouth between 1481 and 1495 and additions, including open-air gun platforms, were made during the 16th century by Henry VIII and again in the 17th century in order to accommodate new military technology.
During the Civil War it was besieged for one month and then taken by the Royalists, who then constructed an earthwork fort above the Castle at Gallant's Bower to protect its landward side. After being held by them for three years it was attacked and taken by Sir Thomas Fairfax for the Parliamentarians in 1646. The castle continued in use as a working fort until the nineteenth century, when it housed no fewer than five huge 64-pdr cannon on traversing carriages. The 19th century Gun Battery is the most substantial remaining part of the castle and itself remained in military use throughout the First and Second World Wars, overlooking the D-Day preparations in the latter.
The castle comprises two linked towers — one round and one square — and sections of wall, the whole of which is built upon a rocky promotory, very close to the water's edge. A church, St Petroc's, is immediately adjacent to the structure.
Dartmouth Castle is now in the ownership of English Heritage'..

Black-necked Stilts prefer habitats with a mix of open water, mudflats, and emergent vegetation, which provide them with foraging and nesting areas.
These birds have relatively long lifespan for a bird its size, with their lifespan being approximately 20 years in wild!
I usually prefer my subjects alive and kicking but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a close up stack of this expired dragonfly I found in a spiders web in our gazebo eves.
I must say I was struck with how vicious its needle like hairs around it's mouth look, also imagining how terrifying the species in the Late Carboniferous period looked when they grew to over two feet from wing tip to wing tip...😬

Have a very "dancng" weekend my friend !
This is a Mocker Swallowtail. It was not very cooperative, preferring to perch in areas that were nearly impossible to access. As in, finding an opening in the plants clear enough to get a shot, and then having to get down on your knees - in public.
If butterflies could laugh, I know this one had a good belly laugh over my antics in trying to get a shot. Not "the" shot we're always after - just "a" shot... any shot.
Barely seen in the Cecil B Day Butterfly Center, Calllaway Gardens.
Only the modelling light was working on the light, when I was done my brother noticed I didn't have the thing plugged into my camera hotshoe to work the flash on the monolight! Doh!
I preferred this photo to the original, which I posted beside it. Many people prefer it right out of the camera, but I enjoy playing until I feel I've captured the spirit of a place.

My preferred name for the highest point in Oregon. Its original name, anyway. Pretty spectacular morning watching the clouds move in and out of the crater.

What model do you prefer? I had the one on the right today on the 405 and even though its acceleration wasn't strikingly admirable, the nature of the route resulted in some commendable speeds achieved around Merstham. It isn't a bad route at all, as well as some rural views the residential part of Pampsiford Road has a real mixture of housing. Coulsdon Town Centre is quite an interesting place too, I've never actually visited there.
I see the pigeon is also contemplating on the choice of buses in the photo!

Illuminated by the small headlamp my wife gave me to see my camera gear at night, the Tufa Towers of Mono lake suddenly appear out of the dark like ghosts, surrounding me and my camera. They were all around me and the ones in front of the camera reflect in the still waters of a small lagoon on the shores of Mono Lake.
I seldom do light painting in my photography. I think this may be the first I have posted. However the tufas turned out remarkably bright for the small LED light and even reflected nicely off the calm water. The light even penetrated the water to illuminate the surface below. A touch of green around the tufas on the right add to the colors and the midnight blue sky with some high clouds and stars peaking though made this one of the interesting shots of the night. Even though we had about a 3/4 full moon, the stars were bright pinpoints. Something I really miss seeing when I am at home in the city.

Many people prefer to relax and have fun visiting various public places. These can be museums, just historical and memorable places of the city, theaters, cinemas, concerts and much more. But have you ever thought about what you would like to visit yourself or with your loved ones this winter?
⠀
If you want to go to something like this with your loved ones or even one close person for you, it's worth considering whether that museum or theater is in his interests. Won't he be bored there?🤔
⠀
🎫It is also worth thinking about tickets right away. For example, you can often buy tickets to museums on the spot, which cannot be said about theaters or concerts. 😞 Here you should immediately think about booking seats in the hall and the cost of suitable tickets. Have you already taken tickets for anything?
⠀
Feel free to share your plans in the comments, it will be interesting for me to read and find out your thoughts! :) Maybe you can even advise those places where it is definitely worth going or visiting. 😉

I normally prefer my photographic subjects to be facing me but for an identification as difficult as Marsh Warbler then every view is important. Reed and Marsh Warblers present one of the most difficult identification challenges among British birds. One main difference is in the wings; Marsh Warbler has a crisp pale edging to all the primary flight feathers and the tertials (overlying the wing) also have a neat pale border, demonstrated beautifully here. Reed Warbler has all-dark primaries with no pale edging and the tertials have no obvious contrast. Here's a Reed Warbler to compare this feature: www.flickr.com/photos/timmelling/52098887790/in/photolist You can also see the slightly olive cast to the Marsh Warbler's plumage with no hint of warmth on the rump and flanks. Not really visible here are the paler legs of Marsh Warbler. I photographed this one in Lincolnshire a few weeks back.
One final thing, if you look closely at the tail feathers you can see growth bars; a subtle banding. Bizarrely the darker band is laid down as the feathers grows during daylight, and the lighter band is formed during darkness. So each adjacent pair of pale and dark bands represents a 24 hour period of growth. So if you count the number of growth bars you can work out how long each feather took to grow. The breadth of a growth bar appears to be related to the bird's nutritional state while it was growing the feathers, narrow bars when it was hungry, thicker bars when it was well fed. I should point out that the banding pattern (bar code?) on each feather will differ as birds usually replace flight feathers one pair at a time so as not not compromise flying ability too much. It is rare that you can see these subtle markings in photographs of wild birds (they are usually only visible to ringers with birds in the hand) so I thought it was worth mentioning. A bit like looking at growth rings in a tree (dendrochronology) the study of growth bands in feathers is called ptilochronology.
I'd have preferred to be outside for this shot, but even "through the window" I'm grateful for it. Seems our uninvited suet guest is determined to make regular appearances.

Five months after the earthquake in the Abruzzo region (Italy) which killed over 300 people, injured 1600 people and left with no house 65.000 people, there are still a lot people which do not have an accomodation (house) and neither a hope to have one before the cold Abruzzo winter (the region struck by the earthquake is one of the coldest in Italy). Prime minister Berlusconi preferred to favour the construction of new houses outside the towns which will house only 15.000 instead of the reconstruction of old buildings. There is no certainty on when these new houses will be completed. To do so 30.000 people have been forced to live in camps inside tends suffering the hot summer months for 5 months. Up to now the new houses have not been completed yet, the reconstruction of buildings has not even started and campsites have been started to be dismantled because of the approaching winter. Some people will be relocated in close hotels (especially the one with childrens) but most of them will be relocated far from their native land. People wants to reconstruct their land but the government will not let them do just because Berlusconi want to show off its supposedly great skills in facing the emergency just like in the occasion of the G8 summit (btw yesterday he proclaimed himself the best prime minister Italy ever had in 150 years). Of course since the 90% of media in Italy is controlled by Berlusconi people in Italy will never know anything about this reality. They see only what the government want them to see. Fortunately there are journals (the same journals heavily criticized in these days by Berlusconi) which from time to time update people about this situation. However only a few minority of people have idea of what it is going on.
