1964 Fender Precision Bass. Original Sunburst finish. Rosewood fingerboard & C profile neck. Weight: 8.2 lbs. Serial: L33056. All original other than some touched up solder. original case (cosmetically the exterior of the case has seen better days but the latches & handle still work, the interior is still in good condition) This bass plays and sounds awesome. The tone is rich, warm and round which you can only get from these early Fenders. The body shows some wear around the edges & a few nicks and dings but nothing major. The neck is very slim & smooth with some of the finish having worn off. This can all be seen in the pics. The frets have very little play wear. All hardware & electronics work with no issues including the truss rod. The headstock is very clean. Set up nice and low with a great action by my technician. The pots date the 26th week of 64, the neck date is 5th July 64 C.
By a stroke of pure good fortune, an Up Millennium crosses a Down Tangara at the precise point required to be within the very narrow frame through which I was shooting. Of course, the frequency of services during the weekday evening peak on the sextuple track here at Newtown certainly increased the chances of this good fortune.

16 was built in November of 1973 as Southern Railway GP38-2-5078; 57 was built in September of 1968 as Penn Central GP40-3138 and was re-built by Motive Power Industries (MPEX) to a GP40WH-2 where it worked for the MARC commuter railroad in Maryland as MARC 57, and later sold to PNLX.

This is a precision regulator clock by James Condliff, Liverpool, ca 1850. The pallets are jewelled and all of the main pivots are capped, but not jewelled. The clock has a mercurial pendulum. The silvered dial is not shown. The movement is being tested in a case that we use for this purpose and is not its own.
