Debuting a new styling direction for the sad, lost brand.

Züriflickrdrinks #51 at Kiosk Josefwiese. This is such a cool place - playground, paddling pool, volleyball, table tennis, gravel for boules/petanques, shady trees, a grassy area, bar, ... I like it even more than the Bäckeranlage.

Zürich's such a great place to live!

A small photo tour a Lyon Saint-Irénée, France with my French SLR Focaflex likely manufactured in the year 1960 by Optique & Précision de Levallois (OPL), France.

The camera was loaded with a Fomapan Classic 100 film exposed for 100 ISO using an Autometer III Minolta light meter fitted with a 10° finder. The shadows where privileged giving typically EV 12-13 (1.125s at f/5.6-8). The film was developped using Tetenal UltraFin T-Plus liquid developper at dilution 1+6 and 20°C for 5 min.

After process the film was digitalized using a Sony A7 body and a Minolta Slide Duplicator with a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5.

About the camera :

The Focaflex was released in 1958 and sold to the public from 1959 to 1964 in three different versions (Focaflex Automatic and Focaflex II) , the year where OPL stopped its camera activities. The Focaflex is equipped with a fixed lens OPLAR-COLOR (4 lenses, Tessar type) 1:2.8 f=5 cm with a central shutter.

The Focaflex became famous after the Gérard Oury's movie "Le Corniaud" with André Bourvil and Louis de Funés (1965) where Antoine Maréchal used hardly the Focaflex for his Italy tour and the Cadillac car.

This camera came with its everready case, a shade hood with +1 diopter (possibly of the Genaco brand), and a Foca AUV 42 mm filter, the three accessories in a small leather box (non Foca).

The SLR does not use a regular pentaprism but a semi-transparent mirror without Fresnel device or focusing screen (see www.foca-collection.fr/index.html)

The water tower on the base still bears the insignia of the 379th Bombardment Wing and the Latin motto "Diligentia Et Accuratio."

1964 Fender Precision Bass. Original Sunburst finish. Rosewood fingerboard & C profile neck. Weight: 8.2 lbs. Serial: L33056. All original other than some touched up solder. original case (cosmetically the exterior of the case has seen better days but the latches & handle still work, the interior is still in good condition) This bass plays and sounds awesome. The tone is rich, warm and round which you can only get from these early Fenders. The body shows some wear around the edges & a few nicks and dings but nothing major. The neck is very slim & smooth with some of the finish having worn off. This can all be seen in the pics. The frets have very little play wear. All hardware & electronics work with no issues including the truss rod. The headstock is very clean. Set up nice and low with a great action by my technician. The pots date the 26th week of 64, the neck date is 5th July 64 C.

I am not a fan of symmetry, more a lover of random order of the universe and things. But this particular click of the famous bridge across a lake with its perfect lines was inviting.
