I was waiting for M301 to get moving after getting stopped at Torlea for an intermodal train. Almost aborted the trip right then but I saw this old grain drill in a field and thought it would make a neat foreground. Ended up with an eastbound train to practice with. I spent an hour waiting for 301 here.
I had fun with this one. Found some good natural light, did my patented spin and click, and just let what happened happen. Had too many favorites to pick just 1. ;)

Practicing night shots without a tripod. Resting the camera on a dock post and holding the strap for dear life. Self timer used, ISO at 400 seemed to take the picture faster rather than have it in scene mode and let it do it's thing automatically. The terminal tower will be purple in November for Alzheimer's awareness month. They're testing the colors in Oct.
I sit next to her and listen to her practice. Next time I must remember to tell her that it is one of my favorite things to do. She is typical of a girl her age, reluctant to get practicing, but once she does, she enjoys it. I can see that it is an outlet for her. It touches a part of her that makes her carefree and happy. It touches the same part of me to sit and listen. We are made to make music.

Taken from Twin Peaks in San Francisco this evening. I took this shot after I had packed up my 4x5 film camera... It was the very first time I shot with my Shen Hao TZ45-IIB! I shot two plates, but I get the feeling that I screwed up on something... I'm not entirely clear how the Bulb setting on the shutter works on my lens, a Fujinon W 210mm lens. I think I'm gonna need more practice with the 4x5 before I head out next time. There are so many steps in my mental checklist that it's easy to miss something. However, it was way cool looking through the ground glass with a magnifying loupe... I just hope that amazing detail makes it onto the film! (With how busy I am, it might be a few months before I get this film developed!)

I asked if I could take photos of these gut kicking the soccer ball. They said to "Have at it". I took photo on the Nikon but also on my Russian Lomo and the HongKong Triple lens- when I get that film developed I will scan them

One thing that I tend to forget when taking pictures is that I need to pay attention to what the model is wearing, as there are times when I have come home and looked at the pictures and have noticed that the clothes are not straight and have way to many creases or as with this image, the jewellery has turned round. I really hate that...lol just wanted to get that out my system...lol
With this one I have added the purple round the eyes, changed the colour of the lips and nails too. Once I did that I took it back to lightrooms and made some basic adjustments.
