I sit next to her and listen to her practice. Next time I must remember to tell her that it is one of my favorite things to do. She is typical of a girl her age, reluctant to get practicing, but once she does, she enjoys it. I can see that it is an outlet for her. It touches a part of her that makes her carefree and happy. It touches the same part of me to sit and listen. We are made to make music.
