My oldest child takes piano, she practices (almost daily) with encouragement ( :
I have some baggage concerning this however, when I was her age my mother also wanted me to play piano, I even took some lessons, but I just wasn't interested-I had better things to do. Well guess what hindsight is always 20/20 right, I wish I had stuck with the lessons. I do tell my daughter this "keep it up, you will be thankful one day" I wonder if she believes me! Hopefully so.

The two young loons are practicing flight. Did not takeoff yet but sure to make it soon.
They catch small fish already but still depend on parents to feed them.
Early this morning I’ve been out on the lake on my canoe, before sunrise, watching for the loons. When the wind picked up I was positioning myself to be in the flight pass. Loons take off against the wind to increase lift. While adults take off very fast with little notice, the young one stretches his wings for quite a few seconds, in a ready position, before he start his slow ran. In his third or fourth try he almost took off. I think they will fly very soon. I’ll be out there watching for them.
