On coming back to this image... I’m not getting much movement of the eye. Perhaps this is due to those lines being a bit too uniform or orderly.
I'm not sure what this is. At first it looks like a substation but there is only one 34.5kv line that plugs into it.
Sept 2008, near Hiram Falls. CMP 34.5 kV subtransmission line (delta) tapped to supply a 34.5 kV wye distribution circuit. Transformer vault hidden behind shrubbery. Note the platform-mounted line voltage regulators for the 34.5 circuit at left. (Updated 2-4-18 after a review of old, old FERC grid maps).
