These huge powerlines travel a long distance from Kárahnjúkar to the aluminum(?) factory in Reyðarfjörður, I desided to have my dog in the picure for you to see how huge this is.
Fourth in the Phoenix 70-210 series. I should be more original, this is nearly the same as my Telephone pole picture. You can see the bokeh on the lens taking up the upper left of the picture. I have to say, the bokeh is one of the least impressive things about this lens for more, although I'm not going to say that as a definitive yet because I haven't really been able to use it to its fullest in a nice crowded environment with a lot going on in the background. Still, I had high hopes seeing the 8-bladed straight edged aperture, I like sharp polygonal bokeh but I guess that may be asking for much.
Powerlines across Buffalo Bayou, Port of Houston (Texas). This waterway has a lot of barge and ship traffic.
GE and EMD engines bring a potash train through the Gary neighborhood of Duluth. Tall brown powerlines often dot the landscape of this region. Steelton Yard and the Wisconsin state border are up ahead.
