I travel a lot, but Vermont is the spiritual home, and the place I never get to enough. When I am there... get the wireless signal reaching out to the edge of the woods... grab a Long Trail (in my hand as photo is taken)... it don't get much better than this...

I think this machine needs some colour. This is a transparent decal made from my daughter's decal making kit. Don't panic. It peels off. And the meaning of life is 42.

The hard drive in my PB died, so here we are, in the middle of the fix. The guides on ifixit.com are very good - just remember to print out any fiddly details before you gut your computer.

Just some Friday night FUTAB. I didn't feel like doing the last step which would have place my desktop icons back on the screen. I think the obligatory shot's effect is there.

The reason for rebuilding this thing. Sometimes older powerbook hinges get too tight. Eventually the pressure causes this. It was our quest to fix said problem.

My powerbook slipped out of my backpack and hit the ground hard. Crud! Luckily, it still works fine, it's just dented quite harshly.

Big bay is for the battery, small bay is for the RAM. There is a small scratch near the RAM door, as well. But it's the bottom of the laptop. :-)
