Apple Powerbook Krush (540c). Completely dismantled and painted in orange and white using Krylon Fusion paint.
A closer view of Alphonse's keyboard. Yeah, there are tons of these pictures on Flickr, but I had to share my own as well just for the heck of it...
I'm decommissioning my old (2002-era) PowerBook Titanium. As part of that process, before shipping it out to Cupertino for recycling, I wanted to remove the hard drive. Once I opened 'er up, I found a bounty of photogenic material ... And here we are.
The predictions were true then - the green line of death has been joined by the red line of death and my PowerBook really is on its way out. This hurts. It's like watching your gran go senile, knowing there is nothing you can do about it. I can't afford to get a new PowerBook (or iBook, for that matter) and I can't afford to get it fixed and I want to cry.
Yes this is my Powerbook screen. Took this at night, which caused super slow shutter speed. I spun the camera around for fun.
In bed with my PowerBook G4 Titanium, remote control for the tele some cd-r and my cellphone... (At that time I was still in Stuttgart and had not much to do other than laying around in my room and chilling in bed ;) )
Interessanter Effekt des Powerbook-Displays nach einem Sturz auf den Boden. Abgesehen davon funktioniert es einwandfrei.
it's smallish, black and pretty heavy. the keyboard is good, once you get over it looking wierdly like one of those stick on ones for sinclair zx81s. it's not as big as the old pismo, but a fair amount heftier than the g4 12". not as tall, though. the coating's a bit like the pismo. the screen is shiny, but seems ok. it goes bright. it does not run classic programs.
