My graduation present, a 15-inch PowerBook G4 which I've named Alphonse, showing off its fancy glowing keys in the dark.

This PowerBook Duo 2300c is in nice condition and has 20 MB of RAM and the maximum (orderable configuration) 1 GB hard drive.

I'm planning to buy a Duo Dock for this puppy.

Here, you can see the mouse cursor in motion, and flashing cross-hairs on the map that are mostly bright. The color depth is one bit, but the display is slow to change.

I cleaned out and reorganized a room and found something left behind by the previous resident: a Macintosh Powerbook 145B. It even still works, but the battery is useless.

At the full resolution of this image, you can see the space between each pixel. In all fairness, I can get an image showing that space on most modern computer displays, but usually I can't do that and fit the whole display in the frame.

One I love, the other will save my life.

My PowerBook 150 in my Mac Workroom. Unfortunately with an malfunction display. But with 12 MB RAM – "top of the world" – in the early days of PowerBooks.

Of it's own accord my TiBook power adapter started sparking and generally catching fire. Fortunately I was around to unplug it. I went to the Apple Store in London and bought a replacement - £55! That's a lot for a power transformer in my opinion.

The later models have a reinforced flex at the cable entry point so I'm hoping it won't happen again.

For some reason the video stream is working better on the front porch....

Ye good olde PowerBook again. My 20/2,8 behaves nice on the D200. But I made up my mind and will order a MacBook today. Change is good, hehe.

Ahh, my old Powerbook, how I loved that keyboard. And, Max went through a phase where he loved to type, oh, and look at the pretty shapes in iTunes' visualization stuff.

Pinging the Wi-Fi connection..

it doesn't get easier than this. it was like moving everything exactly as is into a bigger house. one more reason not to switch from a mac!

My trusty little powerbook got a big sister today! The screen is so big I have to turn my head to see what's over in another corner. I think I'll get used to it though :)
