This building is the oldest surviving building in South Carolina. It was built in 1717 in Charleston. It was built by the settlers to hold their gun powder supply. It was also used during the Revolutionary War by the Americans to keep their powder until the British took Charleston and then they moved it. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on Jan 5, 1972.

Looks like a tight fit for the toilet in this shot. I'm not certain the vanity is in its final position.

This Powder Magazine at Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine was "constructed in 1675 for ammunition storage and is one of the oldest rooms in the fort. Because of dampness the gunpowder had to be moved and the room was used briefly as a prison, then sealed up. Nearly 100 years later it was opened, and bones found inside have given rise to improbable stories." (So says the plaque onsite.) Damn, I wish they'd left the bones on display too!!

Currently Puff (aka Powder Puff, Puffy, the Puffster, Puffy Mc Pufferstein) is being fostered and is part of the exciting new Salt Lake County Bully program. This means that Puff is eligible for free AKC Canine Good Citizen training offered through the Shelter.Puff is a sweetheart, he loves to crawl into your lap and give gentle kisses. He is being fostered with another male and female dog and is doing so great, we think he'd love a buddy or two in the house. He hasn't been cat tested yet.
