For Two Bits Tuesday:
1.I collect post cards and albums (when I can find them).
2. I have my Grandmother to thank for my interest in postcards and for saving family photos. I never met her but I'm pretty sure the interest is genetic.
I made this postcard for a trade on swap-bot - I wrote in the name & address of the person after snapping the photo.

Wednesday Post Card from Puerto Rico !. And the weather service has issued a heat index advisory up to 105 !!! I'm not kidding ! #originals #prstories #endlesssummer
Okay, maybe I'm just being too cocky, but I still really like this shot of my dog, Lucky. Either way, Merry Christmas to everybody! =D
All three postcards are from 1910. They are framed in glass and copper, I believe. They also have one cent stamps on them. I bought these at a flea market years ago. Were addressed to people in KS and MO. All have actual writings on the back. Might be your distant relative, who knows?
Card #1 reads: "With Love From My Valentine" International Art Publishing Company, New York Berlin, Printed in Germany. One cent postage stamp, from Columbus MO to Butler MO.
Card #2 reads: "I've Got Something Sweet To Tell You" with a woman on a boat and a main helping her off the boat. Card #3 reads: "Forget Me not" and has Forget Me Not Flowers on the front. Smoke-free home.
听说牛羊比瑞士还多,是么?
Thank you my friend Tim Tim. ^_^
我觉得挺漂亮的,奈何人家说是在post office买的,不怎么好看。。 切~臭屁,不好看买来干嘛~btw: 字很丑~(写这个估计是看不到的)
我有集邮癖好~

Postcards of opera houses,
about 1900-1910
Color lithographs on card stock
Around 1900, opera was both high art and popular art. There were opera houses throughout Europe and the Americas, and itinerant troupes brought productions to cities too small to support a company on their own. Opera houses were major landmarks, and the theaters often appeared on postcards, sometimes with a fancily dressed crowd heading to a show. These cards show just a few: Berlin, New York, and even Boston. Yes, Boston once had a dedicated opera house. It stood at the corner of Huntington Avenue and Opera Place. just a few blocks from the MFA. Opera Place is still there, but the building was torn down in 1958.
