Proof positive that the weather CAN get get cold in the south. When the temperatures dropped below freezing (the low 20's F) my water fountain would ice over and sometimes form icicles.

Decided to shoot a regular exposure today at an elevated ISO. Straight up, unedited from the camera. Was hoping I could capture the light and color of this sunset and it came out well, but I'll always be disappointed with the lack of visibility offered by today's camera's when it comes to the underexposed ground level subject matter. I could clearly see the opposite shoreline and cloud bank this evening when I took this. The only positive is that the sunset lighting and color came out really good.
Thats why I love HDR imaging so much. I just wish it were easier to get true life color and lighting with today's software.
Though it's not in the photo here. This shot was taken from my usual sunset location at Arun Residence, overlooking Wat Arun.

The brand is Wellington backed. In pencil is written 5-1-24 which means January 5 1924. It still works...
