Went to workshop tonight on challenging discrimination. LGBT kids are very likely to face physical and verbal abuse, and are much more apt to drop out of school, and end up homeless or suicidal. Please help end discrimination.

Harman Direct Positive Paper in 6x9cm Plate Holder

After my recent experiments with the direct-positive paper, I was thinking about building a foldable camera using a simple anastigmat 107mm lens/shutter combo I have lying around. I then stumbled upon a deal on this wonderful camera and I couldn't pass it up. The camera is in wonderful shape and it came with the original plate holders (I converted them to accept film/paper sheets cut to 6x9cm) and the leather cases. The camera is surprisingly in great shape and the shuter is fully functional.

When the Contessa-Nettel brand merged into the Zeiss Ikon family, the Cocarette model stayed in production in different configurations. This camera is marked Contessa-Nettel, therefore it has been produced before the merger, and it should be a 519/2 model. According to the Zeiss lens serial number, it should date around the years 1923-24.

It is a hybrid foldable, as it could work both as a 120 film camera (the camera back actually opens and reveal the spools) or as a plate camera with a focusing screen. It is practically a mini field camera. I played with it in the last two weeks and I love how I can focus and compose as if it was a large format camera. I think will use it mainly as a direct positive camera, producing these 6x9cm prints exposed directly in camera.
