i was hesitant to take this grasshoppers photo lol im scared of bugs and this harmless bug is HUGE!

in the beach of the Guatemalan department of Sipacate, there was this log which the water moved into the beach, strangely arising for us viewers to see, it posed a magnificent subject for some light painting under the night sky

We did a little bit of test shoot to get me more familiar with lights and we thought of using the umbrella we picked up over the weekend. A little bit of editing done here using LR4 including chromatic aberration as suggested by my friends, thanks so much.

Main light setup: AB1600 @ 1/16, octabox on the right

Fill light: AB800 @ 1/16 w/ silver umbrella reflector positioned down left

Magilligan Heavy Anti-Aircraft (HAA) Battery LO7 is one of three constructed in 1941 around Lough Foyle to protect the important industrial and naval facilities at Londonderry. The battery followed the same pattern as many others across the UK, with four HAA gun positions facing the direction of likely enemy approach (from the sea), each surrounded with ready use ammunition storage lockers (doors missing) and crew shelters, with a central battery control bunker. The battery is now protected and I believe it may soon be open to the public for tours.
