My first position after nursing school was at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis on 86th Street. I kept seeing photos of the "old" St. Vincent near Fall Creek Parkway so one day in November my husband and I decided to try to find it. Here are some of my photos from our "adventure. I think I have labeled them correctly but I would LOVE to have any information on this beautiful old building.
This was over the main entrance.
I did these in watercolor. The girls and I exercise using a ballet video. I love the French terms and graceful poses.

Another important stage in the restoration of Holgate Windmill, York. The restored fantail, which the millwright delivered last month, is raised into position at the top of the mill tower.
Here the millwrights carefully guide it into position on the fan stage.

A large World War Two Machine Gun Emplacement, positioned along the coast at Europa Point. Constructed from concrete using wooden shuttering, with massively thick walls, approximately between 4 to five feet. Overall condition looks very good, some damage to the roof and possibly some post-war additions.
The emplacement has a chamfered corner with a pair of large stepped and splayed machine gun embrasures either side, providing cover towards and along the coast line. Behind the emplacement there is a lower section, this may possibly house ammunition lockers, but some of it may have been added at a later date, access appears to be over here with a split entrance for either internal chamber.
In the distance is the grassed over slag heap from Frickley Colliery. The team here were called Frickley Colliery FC until 1974.
