Day 2 at Brands Hatch for the British Truck Racing Championship Season of 2021 and after Some Very Intense Battles and Superb Victories from Each of the Drivers on Saturday it was time Once again for Each Driver to Strap in and Get the Hammer Down.
The Weather Unlike Saturday was Beautiful with a bright Blue Sky during the Morning which no Doubt Lifted a lot of the Drivers Moods after Saturday had seen Very Grey and Overcast Conditions.
With Four British Truck Races Making Up the Largest Portion of the Days Events it will be interesting to see what Each Driver can do and How they Will Have to Preserve their Machinery to make it through Each Race.
With All Drivers Ready Having gotten up Early to do Final Checks and Adjustments to their Respective Cars it was Time to Get to Work and Take to the Race Track for Another Day of High Sped High Adrenaline Fuelled Action around the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.
Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup (Qualifying)
Starting the Day off was the Hyundai Coupe Cup A Racing Series Dedicated to the 2.0 Engine Hyundai Cars and a Large Grid of 22 Cars was Present as Qualifying Began.
Lets Take a Look and Find out who Made it to Pole and Took the Fastest Lap.
In First Place Taking Pole Position and the Fastest Lap was (Alistair Dendy) in his Hyundai Coupe 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 58.735 and a Top Speed of 74.03mph. Brilliant Work from Alistair Really Pushing Hard and Keeping his Car Under Control The Entire Time.
In Second Place was (Wayne Rockett) in his Hyundai Coupe 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 59.123 and a Top Speed of 73.55mph. Amazing Job there Wayne Really Going for it and Pushing Hard.
In Third Place was (Alex Cursley) in his Hyundai Coupe 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 59.148 and a Top Speed of 73.52mph. Great Work there Alex Fantastic Driving to take P3 on the Grid for Race 1.
A Superb Flying Start to the Days Action with the Top Three Drivers in Alistair Wayne and Alex All Sitting Quite Close Together in Qualifying and no Doubt Other Drivers will also Be Looking to Fight their way Through the Field in order to try and take that Glory away from them.
With Qualifying Over Lets Turn Our Attention to the Racing and See out of Alistair Wayne or Alex who Had managed to hold their Composure and take that All Important First Victory.

In Third Place was (Wayne Rockett) in his Hyundai Coupe 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 59.085 and an Average Speed of 55.16mph. Nice Work Wayne Fighting Hard and Taking the Final Step on the Podium with a Fantastic Drive and Defence of P3.
What a Brilliant First Race to Kick Start the Day Off with Alistair Dendy in First Place Alex Cursley in Second Place and Wayne Rockett in Third Place. Fantastic Driving from All of you as Well as All the other Drivers in the Race who Were Battling their way Through the Field.

Fantastic Racing Today from the Hyundai Coupe 2000 Championship with Some Fierce Competition from The Likes of Wayne Johnny Alex and Alistair Along with The Rest of the Other Drivers as they Fought Hard to Push their Points Tally Even Higher in the Championship. After a Hectic Day of Qualifying for The CRTC Yesterday it was Samuel Wilson who Grabbed The Pole with Gary Prebble in Second and Mike Saunders in Third Place with the Top Three Separated by Less than A Second Between Them.

In First Place taking the Victory and The Fastest Lap was (Colin Claxton) in his Ford Escort MK1 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 55.365 and an Average Speed of 76.44mph. Brilliant Driving from Colin Working that Steering Wheel Hard and Putting in some Incredible Flying Laps to Maintain the Gap and Take a Deserving Victory.

A Fan Favourite Up Next with the Junior Saloon Car Championship and After Some of the Most Incredible Racing Witnessed Yesterday During Race 1 Between the likes of Jamie and Ruben who Went Side by Side for Nearly Four Whole Laps Continuously This Next Race was for Sure Going to be a Head Turner.

Pickup Truck Racing Championship (Race 2 Results)
Now it was the Turn of the Pickup Trucks Championship and with a Large Grid of 20 Light Weight Space Frame Pickup Trucks the Action from Yesterdays Qualifying Proved that This Race for going to be a Very Fast and Hectic One.
During Qualifying Second Fastest Yesterday it was Mark Wilson who Took Pole with Matt Simpson and Tom Jenkins Close Behind him in Second and Third Place. But out of All Three of thease Drivers who will be Brave Enough to Put their Foot Down and Go for it During the Race to take Victory?
In First Place Taking the Race Win and The Fastest Lap was (David O' Regan) in his Pickup Truck 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 52.463 and an Average Speed of 65.64mph. Amazing Driving there from David Especially through Paddock Hill Bend as the Trucks tend to Slide a lot through there but He was Keeping His Pickup Truck on Corse for a Very Well Deserved P1 Finish for the Weekend.
In Second Place was (George Turiccki) in his Pickup Truck 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 52.425 and an Average Speed of 65.61mph. Great Drive there by George Defending His Position Thought the Race and Hanging onto take an Impressive P2 Finish.

Next Up The Legends Cars Championship and During Qualifying Yesterday each Driver was Working Hard out on Track using the Slip Stream Technique in order to Give Themselves a Boost down the Main Straight in order to take Pole Position.
After Qualifying it was The Legends Car of Chris Needham who took that All Important Pole Position with Will Gibson and John Mickel Following Closely Behind in Second and Third Place Respectively.
With Three Races Ahead who would come out on Top in Race 4 and Take Victory.

In Second Place in the Standings is David Jenkins on 380 Points who put up one Hell of a Good Fight All Thought the Season with Ryan Smith Non the Less a Well Deserving Second Place in the Championship from Such a Committed Driver.
And Finally In Third Place in the Standings was Martin Gibson on 350 Points who Also Put up an Incredible Fight All Season Having Been Fighting his way Through the Field on More than One Occasion.
A Fantastic End to a Weekend of Incredible Racing and as The Truck Parade and Fireworks Went off I can Imagine that Each Driver Reflected on what they Have Achieved this Year and the Countless People they May have Inspired to go out and Challenge their Dreams of Becoming a Racing Driver.

Enclosed: Two initial concept sketches, perspective elevations, ground plan (hard copy), 4 pictures
Notes: The ground plan shows the three main areas of the set – the downstage stage level Frank rooms with walls implied by the cramped furniture, the slightly raised main Van Daan area defined by walls and platforms, and the upper sacred attic space defined by pillars, storage crates, and a single knee wall connected to a slanted roof. Each area describes the characters – the modest Franks, the Van Daans who feel the need to show off even when in hiding, and the sacred haven of the attic that Peter and Anne make use of. As claustrophobic and expired as the hiding place may be to the characters, it is still an escape from the outside world of the Holocaust. In the pictures, the bedrooms in the Frank floor can be shown as separate by the lighting. The various levels also draw the eye from room to room, demonstrating how the Franks made the most of what they could for privacy in just the upper floors of an office building. The attic acts as a haven, almost invisible except when it is in use for the intimate scenes of prayer or love.

One of the nice things about Philadelphia is that you never know when you'll come across something like this. In my wanderings around the city, I regularly find members of Repstyles and other breakdance crews performing crazy moves just to make the gathered crowds smile.
Enjoyed a nice afternoon down at Eastham Country Park .But stayed by the River as it had a nice breeze and bit cooler there ..
Apparently sitting in a tree for an extended period is tough - this leopard decided to shift for us to give us a better angle.

A young girl whose blond curls catch the sunlight in an otherwise dim living room looks up from a kneeling position on all fours on the floor, as the faces of three other children peek over pieces of furniture behind her in this vertical painting. The children and the woman all have peachy, pale skin. The young girl’s body is angled to our right and she looks in that direction with eyebrows raised. She has a pointed nose, rounded cheeks, and her rosebud lips are closed. Her mass of blond curls is held back with a scarlet-red ribbon, and more red ribbons are tied into bows at the shoulders of her short-sleeved, white dress and around her waist. Her dress has lacy ruffles down the front and along the bottom hem. She kneels on a large rug patterned densely with burgundy-red, denim-blue, and ivory-white stylized flowers, vines, and leaves. A red, blue, and white striped ball rests on a second patterned rug in front of her, to our right. In front of the girl and along the bottom center of the painting is a round but indistinct object, like a flattened basket, that sits on or is part of the carpet. A brown' leather chaise lounge behind the girl is covered with at least one tiger’s pelt. A wooden side table separates that chair from another overstuffed armchair covered with more furs. Next to it, a third chair with a red paisley pattern against a white background is mostly cut off by the left edge of the canvas. Almost lost in shadow, two small faces peek out from between the two leftmost chairs. Both children have rounded cheeks and they look toward the kneeling girl. The forehead and nose of a fourth child’s face peeks over tiny fingers hooked along the top of the screen behind that pair. All three have brown hair pulled back in headbands. Farther back in the room to our right, a young woman with light brown hair, wearing a dark, long-sleeved, high-necked dress, reads a newspaper with her feet propped on a footstool in the back corner. A tall window behind her, to our left, is partially covered by a sheer white shade, and a glass door on the adjoining wall, to our right, opens onto a conservatory or greenhouse filled with green plants. The windows are framed covered by moss-green curtains. More side tables, chairs, and footstools line that back space. A long-necked, blue and white lamp with a glass shade sits on the side table next to the chair with the tiger pelt, and a gold teapot with white teacups and urns sit on other tables. A small, square mirror reflects bright sunlight next to the screen and another mirror with a wide, gold frame hangs above the reading woman and reflects the window panes behind her. The artist signed the work near the lower right corner, “J.J. Tissot.”
In early 1874 Degas wrote, "Look here, my dear Tissot. . . you positively must exhibit at the Boulevard [in the first impressionist exhibition]. . . Exhibit. Degas and Tissot, who met as students during the late 1850s, stayed in close communication even after Tissot fled to London in 1871 to avoid punishment for activities in the abortive Commune. Arguing that the benefits of declaring his allegiance to French art outweighed the potential harm it might cause among Tissot's London audience, Degas urged Tissot to show with the impressionists and thereby affirm his ties to France and more particularly to Degas and realism.
Although he chose not to accept the invitation, Tissot, like Degas, worked in a realist vein. Hide and Seek depicts a modern, opulently cluttered Victorian room, Tissot's studio. After Kathleen Newton entered his home in about 1876, Tissot focused almost exclusively on intimate, anecdotal descriptions of the activities of the secluded suburban household, depicting an idyllic world tinged by a melancholy awareness of the illness that would lead to her death in 1882. The artist's companion reads in a corner as her nieces and daughter amuse themselves. The artist injected an atmosphere of unease into this tranquil scene by comparing the three lively faces peering toward the infant in the foreground at the left with an ashen Japanese mask hanging near Mrs. Newton in the entry to the conservatory.

One of a pair built between 1814 and 1918 this regular hexagon pillbox was constructed from poured concrete, creating bulletproof wall 12-15in thick, using timber shuttering. All six sides are approximately 7ft in length externally, one side has a low entrance with double steel doors, the other five sides have loopholes, both at high and low level (possibly with steel shutters). At the start of World War One in 1914, there were no effective defences at all in Norfolk, all existing forts had been dismantled except an obsolete battery in Great Yarmouth, the reason being stagnation from the Royal Navy, whose power at the time was such that it was not thought important to have coastal defensive installations. This attitude was dealt an early blow when, in November of the same year, the German Navy carried out a fast dash across the North Sea and shelled Great Yarmouth. Damage was light, but the incident raised fears of an Invasion and sparked a frenzied period of trench digging, and several coastal defence batteries were installed.
Fears of a German invasion persisted throughout World War One, and from 1916, Defence Lines were strengthened by concrete pillboxes. In North Norfolk, these were made of concrete blocks and were circular (it was the circular type that gave the emplacement the name pillbox, resembling as it did a box used in the past for containing pills). These pillboxes were placed mainly in a line inland from Weybourne to Sea Palling, broadly along the seaward side of the course of the River Ant.
In South Norfolk, pillboxes were hexagonal, (the prototype of one of the most common type seen in World War Two) and were positioned to protect Great Yarmouth on its landward side. Of course the anticipated Invasion never happened, and after the Armistice in 1918, all the field works and coastal batteries were abandoned, however, by and large, the pillboxes remained, although some were later demolished. Today there are thirty one recorded World War One pillbox sites across Norfolk, of these, seven have been demolished, and have been identified from earlier aerial photographs. The survivors are relatively rare, and some have been issued with Building Preservation Notices.

Enduro KA -(Qualifying)
After a Long Days Racing and with Night Falling Fast The Headlights of The Enduro KA'S Began to Illuminate the Indy Circuit.
Every Part of the Track was a Wash with Darkness and The Only Thing Illuminating the Way for Each Driver was The Bright Headlights and LED'S Fitted to Each Car with some Teams and Driver Trying their Luck on the KA'S Standard Headlights to Brighten their Way to Victory.
A Silent Hum Came From the Engines as they Raced Around the Indy Circuit with Each Driver Pushing Hard to Set the Fastest Time Possible.
The Tension in the Air was Electrifying as Drivers Danced their Cars Through Traffic and Had Small Battles with One Another Trying to see what their Opponents Tactics were and How Brave each of Them Dare Go in Terms of Pace.
