This is of the Porcelain Basin area within Norris Geyser Basin at Yellowstone National Park. The high contrast scene seemed to be well-suited to black and white.
It took three trips to capture an acceptable image of the La Jolla Tide Pools. The negative tide was not the ideal situation for me; however my weather app indicated the good chance of a nice sunset. The low tide revealed large areas of interesting greenery throughout the area, but I decided to stay here and claim this spot for my sunset shoot, knowing that there is room for only two or three people at one time to photograph this particular composition.
The Fairy Pools are beautiful crystal clear aqua pools on the River Brittle at the foot of the Black Cuillins near Glenbrittle, Isle of Skye
The path to the Fairy Pools has a view of these mountains. The sun was setting and the last bit of sunlight still lit the mountain tops of Isle of Skye, Scotland. www.muttiah.com

The Fairy Pools are a must see spot on the Isle of Skye. First time we were there over 6 years ago the weather was horrendous so we skipped it. This year we returned to the location and got almost perferct conditions.

...one of them, anyway, deep in the Lairig Ghru in the Cairngorms. Small lochans with no obvious inflow or outflow, they are apparently one of the sources of the River Dee. Water flows south under the stones the people are stood on. This joins/becomes the Allt na Lairig Ghru which merges with other streams to become the Dee further down the valley.
