iPhone shot of my son and nephews playing pool at Lyons Lake in NY. We were all up there to celebrate friends' marriage (after 30 years together!)

Some PP done to reduce noise and increase contrast (it was dark in the tavern and the photo didn't have a lot of detail to start with)... Even so the phone did a decent job of it.

Pool Party, Welcome Week, Monday, Aug. 19, 2019.

Rolando was adorable, friendly and very competent. There are a LOT of electrical things to fix around here, and I will have to have him come back again, and again!

Enjoy our incredible, cliff-side infinity pool at Astra Suites Santorini!

During the day, soak up the warm Mediterranean sun, sipping a cool glass of white wine from the pool bar and marvelling at the sparkling Aegean Sea 300 meters below.

In the evening, witness a golden glow spread across the sky as the sun sets below the Aegean – the famous Santorini sunset on display from the calm waters of our infinity pool.

At night, the stars glitter in the sky and the moon continues its endless love affair with the dark blue waters of the sea – a sublime feeling you will never forget!

The Neptune Pool is the name of the outdoor swimming pool at Hearst Castle. It is fed by mountain water and is surrounded by ancient Greek columns and statues. Designed by architect Julia Morgan, the Neptune Pool was started in 1924 and was finally completed after several redesigns and rebuildings in 1936.

Black Mere Pool, in the North Staffordshire Moors near the town of Leek, is the site of what may be the only inland mermaid legend in England. The small, remote hilltop lake, around fifty metres wide, is a particularly haunting site. Set on the craggy and barren southern edge of the Peak District, beside the Leek to Buxton road, it is said that the dark peat-stained waters of the pool are bottomless; cattle refuse to drink there and birds never fly above it. Over the centuries it has been the scene of a number of mysterious drownings and even a murder when, in 1679, a woman pedlar was dumped in the pool by a local serial killer. Tradition holds that the mermaid rises from the pool at midnight to lure unwary travellers to their deaths in the dark watery depths – but only single men, apparently. There are various legends concerning the origin of the mermaid. In one, a sailor from nearby Thorncliff fell in love with her and brought her back from sea, and in another she was originally a witch who transformed herself into a water nymph after been thrown into the pool during the Middle Ages.

A swimming pool at a hotel in Malaga. I like the contrast of the light and the night and how artificial the scene looks.

for somebody doesn't know how to swim, the thing left to do is...taking photos :S

Turquoise Pool is a hot spring in Midway Geyser Basin.

The colour blue is so saturated turquoise that on this fine day when I took the image it looks so surreal within the landscape.

The Hayden expedition of 1878 named this pool, Turquoise Pool and so apt it was then and is now!
