This shot I have had in my mind for a long time but never really had a good excuse to shoot it until today. It`s funny that now that I have to come with a shot every day I realize how much time I spend planning the angles and the lighting. By the time I was done working out I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
Unfortunately I wasn`t happy with the initial set-up so I had to go back to zero and look for an alternative. Thankfully playing around a bit and a very patient test subject we came to find the shot I was happy with.
It is always worth trying an extra couple of shots and angles, you never know what you`re gonna get,

I believe these pictures are from the summer of 2003. We were at Jeremy Ray's pool goofing around. I don't know who all of these people are, but I think its Stew, Julia, Rico, Tom, Alex, and Paul that are seen jumping over the stick. Kim is in here too!

The pool in our building is now being heated, and julie was so excited she braved the chilly breeze Tuesday afternoon and took a quick dip! I'll wait until it gets a tad warmer...
Abyss Pool is a 53-foot deep beauty spot along the shore of Yellowstone Lake at West Thumb. In August of 2022 it made the news when a park employee found a shoe containing part of a human foot floating in it. The park service has not updated the original press releases, so I have no additional information to share about the mystery.
In spite of the spooky story, Abyss is one of my favorite features in West Thumb, for its color, clarity, and depth.
Our pool is now closed for maintenance but we can use the up market sister hotel next door's pool. They have a water slide! :S.I'll not be here long as the journey home starts in a few hours. :(
