Playing in the pool, August 2002.

Palouse Falls plummets 184 feet to the pool below. Palouse Falls was created during the creation of the Channeled Scablands by the great Missoula floods. The ancestral Palouse River was unable to contain the huge volume of water released during the floods and as a result the water overflowed the Palouse valley and headed south to the Snake River.

This view is looking downstream from the lip of the falls. At the top of the image is the state park viewing area. Karen and i found a way to get across the river and explore and photograph the falls from this vantage point. It turned into an adventure when one of the gates we passed through coming in was locked when we were headed out.

Hotel swimming pool fiasco

How not to love pool parties! Well, I'll tell you! My dearest friends threw me in the pool fully aware I had a cold and took no extra clothes. Hmpf!

once again he actually came off the diving board (the small white corner on the left side)

..." come back here ball, stop floating away " ....

She had a happy day at the pool yesterday :) Its nice to be out of the restrictive Thunder-shirt in our hot weather and felt great cooling off in the pool.

The boys wanted to try out the pool, even though it was only 70 degrees out.

This was one of many photos taken of Katie diving in the pool so that she could improve her technique.
