know anyone with an AR-15? ask them why.
The second from a set of images that seemed to suggest a story when I went looking for pictures for this week. This is of the misty morning light around Bridalveil Falls at Yosemite.

The ghosts took a stroll and did some leaf-peeping (or bridge-peeping) while staying at @buchananresort last October.

My ghosties are gone for almost two months, up to Michigan with grandpa. This probably should have been taken with flash… but I shot it in the stairwell of the Frist Art Museum which is in a lovely art deco building in downtown Nashville.

Kinda self explanatory, a view of the waterfall and one of my better waterfall polaroids.

Somewhere in Michigan… as usual, can’t remember where but it’s a bridge and it was wintertime.
who, at 14, is joyfully trying to stay on his feet and keep going.

Somewhere off I-40 in the Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge.
on our adventures yesterday, I collected some plants, thus the lumen.

she has a sore eye today. jabbed while wandering.
but, we have medication for all situations.
this whole episode reminded me of our basenjis in the early 90's.
basenji's are "independent thinkers".
my friend ruth of new york had a basenji who went on a long walkabout.
days and days.
we all worried.
ruth's friend, louise nette, wrote a poem for ruth's dog, lily.
someday I'll print it on my bedroom walls.
btw, taibet was ruth's scottish deerhound, lily the basenji's sister.

Mommies always worry,
Mommies always pray,
And when the kids come home again
"Oh Mom!" is all they say...
Lily's chasing rabbits,
Lily's chasing mice,
She never thought that running food
Could really taste so nice...
Lily loves the moonlight,
Lily loves the trees,
Snuggled under them for sleepy-time
She dreams of jungle Bs...
Lily of the valley,
Lily of the plain,
"Please, a few more nights of wild dog
Then I'll be home again"...
Oh Taibet do I have stories,
Oh Taibet do I have tales,
You should have seen me running
Yes, I blazed all my own trails...
Oh Taibet there were squirrels,
Oh Taibet there was a fox,
He asked me if I'd stay with him
But I missed you such a lot...
Oh Taibet you say Mom worried?
Oh Taibet such an awful sight?
Tell me, how can I let her know the joys
Of a Basenji free to sight...
by louise nette for ruth piwonka and her basenji lily and tailbet the scottish deerhound.

...we hoped and hoped and hoped, but those people with no hearts remain heartless.
if you ever want to see meanness, go to brigade.com and look at the comments. I swear, president obama is being blamed for every bad thing that's ever happened, including ones that occurred before he went into office.
some guy called me "honey" yesterday, and it wasn't a term of endearment. I prefer "darlin'" and only from people I like. : )
**a few moments to express my deepest sorrow for the families of the young victims in the oakland warehouse fire.
**and my joy that the standing rock sioux have had some success.

Just something random from wandering in the wintry woods across the street from my dad’s house back in 2019-2020.
