Dustin and I had driven into Mississippi a few times for various reasons, either to explore or go to a state park or check out something he found on Facebook marketplace that he wanted to buy. I love riding passenger and staring out the windows. That’s how I find things I want to shoot, like this garage in varying shades of blue. If you ever go out by Pickwick Lake heading towards Iuka, Mississippi… you’ll see it on the side of the highway. Finally stopped and took a couple of shots. This is the second shot and it’s more about the details like the colors and the rust and the grownup vegetation.

Miss Sadie has a 2nd birthday fast approaching but here’s an old one of her still in that baby-before-toddler stage and adorably asleep.

This is an oldie but a goodie. Might have even been a pack of the Polaroid Originals Duochrome before the rebrand/buyout to straight Polaroid and then releasing it as yellow Duochrome. Can’t quite remember but I just loved this sad looking little shy sunflower.

So… the first trip somewhere without Dustin, I found this message on the fogged up mirror in the bathroom after my shower. I cried. No lie, I cried. It wasn’t left for me - it was there from before, someone else wrote it and whatnot. But it appeared out of the fog and hit home. Sometimes he left messages on the mirror in our bathroom, I don’t think I ever got an I love you one but sometimes he did stupid stuff lol. Still it made me think of him and I didn’t know when I’d share this shit but today makes sense - 13 months. Because it’s been 13 months since he died and 13 is my lucky number so it made sense. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss him or wonder how I can have room to love someone other than him. Maybe I won’t ever… who knows? But today, I’m missing him something fierce and feeling that love choke my bones.

Somewhere between Remus and Barryton, Michigan. I either used a pair of sunglasses or the lens from a broke pair or a yellow filter to take this. Looks like a snowy portal into another world…

Sometimes, I prefer to wander cemeteries and be amongst the dead. They’re quieter than the living. This monument caught my eye though.

Speed Limit should be 30 or is it 3? Taken over by vines… kudzu? Poison ivy? Something else? Don’t know, just thought it was neat looking at the time and something that never was scanned or shared 2-3 years ago.

It was suggested that there be more to this series… perhaps there will be. Perhaps, this is the beginning of more! 😉
What on earth gave you the idea I like Polaroid cameras?!? Oh yeah... right... that's what gave you the idea I like Polaroid cameras ;-)
Number 3 in a series. Number 1 was Pentax, and number 2 was Olympus... you're right... I have a disease! (And this one hardly touches on all the Polaroid accessories I have!)
