For a long time, I didn't know what this plant was growing along the path that I frequently walk. Then sometime when I was visiting family someone was talking about a patch of it, so I finally learned what it was.
I thought this one looked like a firework since the flowers have not yet opened.
Here's a link with a little information about the plant if you want to know more ...
This pink Hibiscus was one of the many planted along the side walk beside the putt putt course at the main office of Springmaid Resort at Myrtle Beach during my brief summer trip with friends in June 2014.
I need to search for the proper ID for these flowers that I photographed while walking along the road at Myrtle Beach State Park. The road was beside vegetation, sand and sea oats.

Just over four years ago, I had a surgery that changed my life for the better. For many years, I dealt with severe leg tightness and pain. I was finally diagnosed with a torn hip labrum and had arthroscopic surgery to repair it. The recovery was long as I worked to rebuild muscles and balance. Taking daily short walks was of the utmost importance.
On these summer walks, my mom and I noticed these flowers in an elevated yard by a historic home. They were begging to be photographed. This sequence of shots was one that I intended to post long ago, but didn't get around to it. So, here are some golden yellow and bright orange Nasturtiums for your viewing pleasure.
Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by!
