My friend and I visited Barefoot Landing briefly during our visit in 2012 because she had one particular store she wanted to patronize before we met some other friends for dinner.
While walking through, I noticed this turtle swimming in a pond. When I paused near the edge to take its picture, it started swimming closer to me. This sequence of shots shows it getting closer and closer. I'm sure it was hoping I had something to feed it, but I didn't have any turtle food.

My friend Ricky's 1975 Volkswagen Rabbit. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 pocket camera. ISO 200, Cloudy WB, F/2.8
It was a blah kind of day, but I still wanted to explore along the creek and see if I could find some late winter photographic treasures, as the sky was creating a nice bluish-green cast on the surface of the water. That made the water really stand out among the shades of brown surrounding it. It was a little breezy, so there weren't any reflections being made on the rippled surface.
Since it was a drab sort of day, I also decided to process some of the photos in black and white, using the various contrast modes that Adobe Photoshop Elements offers.

Shot with a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. Tested my Ricoh GX100 on the biggest of my 3 gorillapods. I liked the handling better on this combo than the smallest Gorillapod.
At my cousin's house for a late summer visit, I noticed this giant spider hanging out on one of the steps to her garden area. So, of course, I had to take advantage of the photographic opportunity.
The light was much better, and this spider was much more cooperative than the one I had to remove from my workplace with a margarine container (posted prior to this series in my photstream). Once again, I believe this was a wolf spider.

A great place for a winter's evening snooze. This picture was taken using a Kodak DC3400 two megapixel overly-large (by modern standards) pocket digital camera with the flash turned off. He's entirely lighted by the fire. Dante, a Ruddy Abyssinian, was already an elderly kitty when this picture was taken in December of 2003 but he was still with me until 2005 and I miss him to this day. He was a loyal friend, great companion, and my little fuzzy buddy.
Olympus XA. Kodak Gold 200 film
Because the XA is a split-image focus camera you can sometimes be wildly out of focus and not notice it. But I kind of like this
Hey, hey! My cell phone - Sony Ericsson w580i - does panoramic stitching! I had this phone for over a year and I didn't realize it. It does a really good job at it too. It allows me to stitch together three photos on the fly. Very cool. I love the Sony Ericsson w580i.
This photo is taken from the vantage point of one of my favorite reading spots in W-h-e-a- t-o-n Public Library. You can kinda see my reflection in the black bookcase. I'm sitting in a chair with my leg crossed and obviously am taking a photo.

Carlisle v Saints, Johnstone's Paint trophy Final at Wembley Stadium, 28th March 2010.
Saints won the game 4-1 with goals from Lambert (pen), Lallana, Waigo and Antonio. Great day, great stadium and great seats thanks for Johnstone's Paint and RussellMasters who helped me out with tickets.

I think there is something not only beautiful but classically Thai about this young woman's look.

The Terra Cotta colors of our deeper earthen core! Hard to believe that so long ago, the water levels once topped the height of this cliff!
Used the Orton Imagery effect on this one!

These are some of the pies I made for Thanksgiving that year. We had a couple places to go, so I wanted to have enough to take and still have some for home. I took two different shots and combined them for this panoramic.

My new toy...gotta love a pocket digital camera with a true Leica lens... I like the VF-11 as a general wide angle finder...
Ruim 4 jaar geleden gekocht.
